Aaron Sanchez surrendered just one unearned run in six innings of work as the Blue Jays beat the Orioles 5-3 on Wednesday.
He wasn't dominant, walking three and giving up five hits while punching out just two batters, but it was still an impressive overall line in his return to the major leagues. The win gives Sanchez a sparkling 13-2 record and 2.88 ERA. The Blue Jays are trying their best to limit the 24-year-old ace's innings but he is the best pitcher on a contending team. This was his first action in 11 days as the Jays sent him to High-A Dunedin on August 21 to rest his arm on the bench for a while. Fantasy owners are hoping Toronto throws caution to the wind and lets him stay in the rotation down the stretch. Aug 31 - 11:46 PM
