Hector Santiago surrendered two runs (one earned) over 5 1/3 innings in Sunday's loss to the Rangers.
Santiago hit Rougned Odor with the bases loaded to force in a run in the second inning, then gave up a sacrifice fly to Mitch Mooreland in the third. Those would be the only runs the Rangers would manage off Santiago. Impressive in its way, that he held them to just two runs, as Santiago walked six batters in the contest. It could have been much, much worse. It should be noted that Santiago had just six walks total coming into the game. His control isn't perfect, but it's not nearly as bad as it looked on Sunday. The southpaw now holds a 2.28 ERA and 1.23 WHIP and has a road date with the defending champion Giants in his next start. Apr 26 - 9:10 PM
