Nomar Mazara went 1-for-4 with an RBI triple in Thursday's loss to the White Sox.
Mazara raced around for the three-base hit in the eighth inning. His triple scored Shin-Soo Choo and gave the Rangers a little room to breathe in the process, pushing their lead to 2-0 with the RBI hit. Alas for the road team, a bullpen implosion would unfold just half an inning later, with the White Sox plating four in the bottom of the eighth to overturn the scoreboard. Mazara and company would try for a ninth-inning rally, but it was not to be. A strong run with the bat in early May has helped him off to a respectable start on the year. Overall, the young outfielder is slashing .278/.333/.515 with 10 homers and 26 RBI across 169 at-bats this season. He's a good bet to set a career-high in home runs, as he's already halfway home to the 20 he has bashed in each of his first two major league seasons. May 17 - 11:25 PM
