Falu will likely be one of the first call-ups if the Royals are in need of an extra infielder, but the 29-year-old is nothing more than an emergency option.

Royals recalled INF Irving Falu from Triple-A Omaha.
Falu has batted .321/.333/.434 over 15 games in a couple stints with the Royals this season. He'll provide infield depth.

Royals optioned INF Irving Falu to Triple-A Omaha.
Falu appeared in 15 games with the Royals as a utility infielder but is no longer needed with Chris Getz returning from the disabled list. He'll resume an organizational depth role in the minors.

Irving Falu went 3-for-5 with a double and four RBI in Sunday's loss to the Twins.
The utility infielder was making just his second start since being recalled from Triple-A Omaha on May 20. He doubled home two runs in the sixth before singling home two more in the ninth. Falu doesn't play enough to be worth a look in even the deepest of AL-only leagues.

Salvador Perez (hip) is not in the Royals' starting lineup on Wednesday night against the Astros.
Perez also sat out Tuesday after bruising his right hip Monday while sliding into a dugout post at Minute Maid Park. The Royals are hoping that he will be able to play in Thursday's series opener against the Angels.

Jarrod Dyson has been diagnosed with a mild high ankle sprain and is expected to be sidelined for 2-to-4 weeks.
The 28-year-old speedster had been off to a decent start this season, hitting .268/.286/.561 with a homer, eight RBI and six stolen bases through his first 41 at-bats. While the timetable for recovery is short, any injury to the ankle is something to very closely monitor for a player such as Dyson who derives all of his fantasy value from his speed. David Lough could be worth a look in very deep leagues while Dyson is out.
