Reds manager Bryan Price said that Anthony DeSclafani is "certainly one of the favorites to make our rotation."
As it stands right now, Tony Cingrani and DeSclafani look like the favorites to come away with the No. 4 and No. 5 spots, respectively. However, they'll face competition from Cuban Raisel Iglesias, David Holmberg, Dylan Axelrod and Jason Marquis. Acquired from the Marlins in the Mat Latos trade, DeSclafani struggled in his brief time in the majors in 2014 but boasts a career 3.23 ERA in the minors and has middle-of-the-rotation upside.
