Jose Abreu (hip, groin) said he expects to play Friday against the Tigers.
Abreu left Wednesday's game against Kansas City with a flexor strain in his right hip but said he mostly feels pain in his upper groin. Either way, he should be ready to roll after the White Sox's off day on Thursday. Abreu has plated at least 100 runs in each of the last three seasons. He'll have to pick up the pace if he wants to make it four straight (.253, 0 HR, 8 RBI in 75 at-bats). Apr 26 - 7:59 PM
