Jose Peraza's struggles continued on Wednesday as he went 0-for-4 against Ubaldo Jimenez in a loss to the Orioles.
He has just one hit in his last 18 plate appearances and is batting .228/.267/.281 with zero home runs and three RBI through 14 games. To be fair, the Reds only had two hits all night as a team, so we can't beat up Peraza too badly for taking an "oh-fer" in this one. He is in jeopardy of being moved down to the bottom of the batting order if he doesn't get things turned around soon. He has managed to salvage some fantasy value by scoring eight runs and stealing six bases, which ties him with teammate Billy Hamilton for the major league leading total. Peraza is the epitome of a contact hitter. He has only one walk and two strikeouts in 60 plate appearances so far this year. Apr 19 - 9:58 PM
