Yankees prospect RHP Luis Severino (oblique) allowed two runs on one hit and one walk over three innings on Tuesday in his return to Double-A Trenton.
Severino struck out three batters in the outing, which was his first since suffering a left oblique injury in late July. The 20-year-old right-hander already has worked 106 innings this year after logging just 44 in 2013, so it’ll be interesting to see how the Yankees handle his workload over the final weeks of the minor league season. On the year, Severino has posted a 2.46 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 121-26 strikeout-to-walk ratio over 106 innings (22 starts) between the Low-, High- and Double-A levels. Aug 20 - 3:46 PM
