Delmon Young finished 0-for-4 with a strikeout in the Phillies' loss to the Reds on Saturday.
Young is now batting .208/.286/.333 with 11 strikeouts in 15 games with Philly. He has good raw power, but the 27-year-old isn't worth the trouble in most mixed leagues.

Delmon Young went 0-for-3 with a sac fly on Wednesday and is hitting .130 since coming off the disabled list.
Young went 2-for-3 with a homer in his season debut April 28, but he's just 1-for-20 since. Obviously, his glove won't be keeping him in the lineup, so it'd be for the best if he starts hitting soon.

Delmon Young is starting in right field Thursday for the first time since the 2007 season.
Young was able to DH in the Phillies' previous two games in Cleveland but will have to play the outfield now that the Phillies are back to facing National League clubs. It probably isn't going to be a pretty sight.

Delmon Young will serve as the designated hitter again Wednesday against the Indians.
Young went 2-for-3 with solo homer Tuesday in his return from the disabled list. It's unclear whether the Phillies think he can play every day in right field -- of course, we already know the answer -- so those in mixed leagues can afford to wait and see.

Phillies placed C Carlos Ruiz on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to May 20, with a right hamstring strain.
Ruiz was diagnosed with a Grade 2 strain of his hamstring and is expected to miss 3-4 weeks. It's a tough blow for the Phillies, who just got Ruiz back from his suspension less than one month ago. Erik Kratz and Humberto Quintero will fill in behind the plate once again.

Roy Halladay had surgery on Wednesday to remove a bone spur in his shoulder and repair his torn rotator cuff.
Halladay is hoping to resume throwing in 6-8 weeks and will try to make it back before the end of the 2013 season. The veteran righty had an 8.65 ERA, 1.46 WHIP and 35/17 K/BB ratio over his first 34 1/3 innings this season. He can be dropped in all non-keeper leagues.

John Lannan (quad) threw a bullpen session on Saturday afternoon in Clearwater, Florida.
Lannan will throw off a mound again on Monday and should then progress to simulated games. If all goes well, he will join the Phillies at some point in early June. He's been on the disabled list since April 18 with a quad strain.
