Ramirez left Thursday's game in the eighth inning after fouling a ball off his knee in an earlier at-bat, but the game was pretty lopsided at the time. He should be fine moving forward.

Hanley Ramirez had another big night at the plate on Tuesday, going 3-for-5 with a pair of RBI in leading the Marlins to a 7-6 victory over the Rockies.
Ramirez hit RBI singles in the first and sixth innings, and also picked up his eighth and ninth stolen bases. The three-hit night raises his average to .250 to go along with his seven homers, 29 RBI and nine steals. Aside from the average, Ramirez is producing terrific numbers across the board and making his down 2011 season a distant memory.

Hanley Ramirez drove in the winning run in Friday's game against the Indians.
Ramirez broke a 2-2 tie in the eighth inning on a sacrifice fly, and doubled in the sixth inning off Justin Masterson. The Marlins, of course, had just six hits as a team. Ramirez is hitting .232 in 170 plate appearances, but has 17 extra-base hits and a .739 OPS.

Hanley Ramirez went 2-for-4 with a solo homer in Monday's loss to the Pirates.
Ramirez has been a bit of an all-or-nothing player this season, as he's now on pace for 32 homers and 106 RBI, but he's batting just .221. We're pretty confident that the average will come up, but it's hard to be too sure after his .243 mark last year.

Marlins placed OF Austin Kearns on the 15-day disabled list with a right hamstring strain.
Kearns suffered the injury Tuesday night and hadn't made enough progress by Thursday afternoon. The Fish have called up Kevin Mattison in a corresponding move.

Emilio Bonifacio will have thumb surgery Friday and is expected to miss four to six weeks.
Tough break for Bonifacio, who was placed on the disabled list earlier this week with what was originally described as a left thumb sprain. The surgery will keep him out through late June or early July. Bryan Petersen should get the majority of playing time in center field during his absence, but it's tough to get excited about him outside of NL-only fantasy leagues.

Ceda underwent Tommy John reconstructive elbow surgery on Tuesday and will miss the entire 2012 campaign.

Juan Carlos Oviedo will report to the Marlins' spring training complex Monday.
Oviedo has secured a work visa and will begin working out in Jupiter before rejoining the Marlins bullpen. It's not clear when that will happen, though.
