Channing Frye (heart) said he's "95 percent positive" he'll be healthy enough to return to the NBA next season.
Frye has missed the entire season after doctors discovered an enlarged heart during a routine stress exam. Frye admitted there's a chance he may never play again, but he's thinking about joining the Suns on the road in March and April to get used to traveling again. The sweet-shooting big man can't work out but says he takes 200 shots every other day and uses golf and yoga to help keep himself somewhat in shape. Frye has two years left on his contract after this one.

Suns cardiologist Tim Byrne said "the chance is better than not" that Channing Frye's enlarged heart will heal completely, adding that the details of his case "really portend an excellent prognosis."
"When he's cleared, he'll be cleared to participate at the highest level, but that's when and if," Byrne said. The Suns and Frye both expect him to miss the entire 2012-13 season, but Phoenix won't make any "dramatic" roster moves -- it sounds like they'll rely on Luis Scola at PF, backed up by Markieff Morris. Michael Beasley is also an option to absorb leftover PF minutes.

Channing Frye (heart) opened up about his condition and said that he wanted to take the upcoming season off.
"I want to take a year off and make sure that I'm OK to play and that I'm not going to do any more damage to my heart," he said. "There's no reason to push it." Frye will be limited to just yoga and golf and must have at least six months of rest. "I'm definitely not done," he said. We're rooting for him to return at full health.

We wish Frye the best on his road to recovery and hope to see him in action soon. His absence clears up big minutes for Luis Scola and Michael Beasley, and puts Markieff Morris on the fantasy radar, as well.
