Danilo Gallinari (partially torn ACL) could resume basketball activities by December.
Gallo was originally expected to be out through February, but he got some good news when doctors determined his ACL was not fully torn. He said in a recent video posted on Twitter, "I underwent a healing response procedure, in which ligament is stimulated to respond naturally ... This procedure changes completely my rehab and recovery time." He's still expected to miss the first month of the season, at a minimum.

Danilo Gallinari suffered a partial ACL tear, according to The Steadman Clinic in Vail.
"Danilo Gallinari had an arthroscopic procedure to promote healing of his ACL tear, which was found to be partially torn at the time of surgery. Dr. Steadman has performed over 2,000 of these procedures," the clinic's statement said. "We are hopeful that Danilo will return to basketball sooner than if he had a complete ACL reconstruction." This is good news for Gallo, but he's still unlikely to make the season opener.

Danilo Gallinari will undergo ACL surgery next week.
Gallinari said previously he might not return until January or February in 2014, and he's definitely not going to be ready for opening night considering he's not even having the procedure until mid-June. We should have a clearer idea of his timetable after the procedure.

Danilo Gallinari confirmed that he might not return until later in January or February of 2014.
He had surgery on his meniscus on May 17 and is slated to undergo his ACL surgery in the next two weeks. Gallo would need a six-month rehab to make it back to the lineup in January, which is a tall order for most athletes. He's coming off a career-high 16.2 points per game and his rehab will be worth monitoring in the beginning of next season.
