Vinny Del Negro lit into DeAndre Jordan for his play during the first round.
"I don't know if crossroads is the right (word) but there's definitely a level you have to play at right now that is much different," Del Negro said. "He has a much different responsibility now. I haven't seen the consistently that I like." Jordan played 31 minutes in Game 5, his highest total of the series, but managed just six points on seven shots to pair with eight rebounds and two blocks. He hasn't scored over six points or grabbed more than eight rebounds in any game during the playoffs thus far.

DeAndre Jordan blew up for 16 points, 12 rebounds and three blocks in 36 minutes vs. Memphis, showing no signs of the minor knee injury he suffered on Friday.
Tonight's performance was crucial, as it helped to expand the Clippers' narrow lead over Memphis for the No. 4 seed. Even if you ignore Jordan's 39 percent free throw shooting, however, his role doesn't lend itself to reliable value. He's playing just 24 minutes per game, enough to average a career-high 8.7 points on just 5.9 shot attempts per game, with 7.1 rebounds and 1.3 blocks. Those are low-end numbers which are unlikely to budge until his minutes increase.

DeAndre Jordan tweaked his right knee during Friday night's game against the Hornets.
Jordan limped off the court during the third quarter but returned later in the third. Jordan said after the game the knee was sore but said he expects to be in the lineup Saturday night against the Grizzlies. We'll sideline him just to be safe, but he should be available against Memphis tonight.

DeAndre Jordan grabbed 13 boards against the Lakers on Sunday, adding four points and one assist in 29 minutes.
He went toe to toe with the league's leading rebounder and topped Dwight Howard by a total of 13-4. Jordan was dealing with a small hip injury and missed practice on Friday, but it's even more clear now that he was just getting a day off. Owners can use him like they normally would.
