Former 76ers GM Tony DiLeo reportedly "wanted to keep" Evan Turner, who is under contract next season and has an $8.7 million team option for 2014-15.
New GM Sam Hinkie is thought to revere advanced statistical measures, however, which are none too kind to Turner (including a paltry .035 'win shares per 48 minutes' this season). Turner clashed with coach Doug Collins, so Collins' departure could be good for the former No 2. overall pick, but don't be surprised to hear Turner's name in trade rumors in the coming months.

Evan Turner admitted to clashing with former head coach Doug Collins.
Collins and Turner never seemed to get on the same page during their tenure together. Turner "often looked to" assistant Michael Curry to "smooth the waters" between Collins and himself. A new coach might be able to unlock some of Turner's potential, but next season is shaping up as a make-or-break year for the former No. 2 overall pick.

Evan Turner believes he'll be back with the Sixers next season and says he's "just tapping the surface" of his ability.
Turner ended his third NBA season with an extremely inconsistent month of April, failing to shoot over 38 percent in six of the nine games. He was the No. 2 overall pick in 2010, so no one is doubting the talent, but he's been completely unable to put it together since joining the NBA. Turner is not worth drafting in most fantasy formats next year and it wouldn't be surprising if he's either replaced or traded in the offseason.

Evan Turner missed all 11 shots and didn't score vs. Washington on Friday, adding four boards, seven assists, one steal and one block.
After it looked like he was coming around earlier this month, he's been dreadful on offense in his last three games, failing to shoot over 33 percent in any of those contests. Turner won't be worth drafting next season and the Sixers should probably swallow their pride and draft a wing to supplant him.

Jason Richardson's knee surgery was called "Denovo surgery."
Denovo surgery is where the doctors take juvenile cartilage and implant it back into the damaged knees where there is a cartilage issue present. This was an alternative to micro-fracture surgery, which most fantasy basketball owners are all too familiar with at this point. Even without setbacks, Richardson won't be able to resume normal basketball activity until "late January-early February."

An NBA GM said that Andrew Bynum won't get more than a one-year deal.
This isn't exactly earth-shattering news on Bynum and conventional wisdom would suggest that most teams would be extremely apprehensive to sign him to a multi-year contract. He missed every game this year and over the previous five seasons, Bynum missed 26.0 games per season. A 25-year-old center already having serious durability issues is going to make it tough on his agent to get leverage in contract negotiations.
