Avery Bradley is spending the offseason working on his ballhandling.
Bradley proved after Rajon Rondo (knee) went down that he's not a point guard, and he's much better suited playing off the ball. "Avery's biggest weakness is creating his own shot," Bradley's trainer said. He is expected to open up next season as the starting shooting guard for Boston.

Avery Bradley will be held out of Summer League to get rest.
Jared Sullinger (knee surgery) will also sit out, which leaves Fab Melo and 2013 draft picks to headline the Celtics' squad in Orlando. It's not surprising to see Boston playing it safe with Bradley, as he had two shoulder surgeries last summer and played through rib and collarbone injuries in April.

Avery Bradley is expected to play in Game 3 despite showing up late for practice on Thursday.
Bradley's tardiness isn't a big deal, but he's averaging just 10.5 points and 3.0 assists in two playoff games, despite logging nearly 35 minutes per game. "Avery's a good basketball player, but we never wanted him to be in the position of facilitating offense," said Doc Rivers. Jason Terry is shooting 3-of-13 in the series, Courtney Lee is 0-of-2, and Jordan Crawford is 4-of-11, so there's not much to praise in Boston's backcourt.

Avery Bradley scored 15 points with three boards, four assists, three steals and one 3-pointer on 7-of-14 shooting against the Knicks on Saturday.
It was one of his better offensive games of the year for Bradley and he shot just 40.2 percent from the field this season. Bradley had a ton of open looks with Boston making plenty of extra passes and he could continue to have his shot attempts in the teens this series.

Danny Ainge is expecting to see an improved Rajon Rondo (knee surgery) when he returns next season.
I think Rondo is a smart guy, and he got to see the strengths and weaknesses of our team and the players," said Ainge. "I think he actually started to see it even before he was out, but when you’re out, you can see things in your team and your teammates that maybe you didn’t see before." Ainge also said that Rondo "doesn't listen to everything you say, but he's got his own ideas of what he can do to get better, as well." Ainge concluded with "Listen, I think Rajon has matured every year. He has gotten better." Rondo wants to return faster than Adrian Peterson, bu that seems like a lofty goal. There is no firm timetable for his return.

Jason Terry said his knee was an issue all season and admitted the injury limited him and forced him to play cautiously.
Terry underwent surgery recently, which the guard said he wanted to put off until after the season ended. Terry said he expects to be 100 percent by the time training camp opens and still believes the Celtics' goal is to compete for a title next season despite all of the offseason rumblings to the contrary.

If Terrence Williams returns to the Celtics next season, the expectation is that he'll be a backup point guard.
"I think he’s a smart player," Danny Ainge said. "He has good basketball instincts. His comfort level is more with the ball in his hands, and he hasn’t had a ton of reps like that in the NBA. But I think that’s where his strength lies, especially for us, because I think that he takes pressure off Avery." As long as Williams stays out of trouble and is healthy, he should be able to make the team.

Jared Sullinger (back) said that he's "completely fixed."
Prior to surgery, Sullinger said his right leg "dragged" behind his left. The problem stemmed from "back issues," but he's apparently good to go now. However, Sullinger did admit that he's in the middle of his rehab process and isn't sure how his game will change as a result of the surgery. He needs to do more conditioning work as well.
