Jeremy Lamb could be in line for a bigger role next season if Kevin Martin departs as an unrestricted free agent.
Lamb spent much of this season in the D-League, but he figures to get more playing time next year. Martin is a mentor and a friend to Lamb, but the team acquired Lamb in the James Harden trade, an indication of how they view the young shooting guard. Lamb wants to play, and he torched the D-League this year with averages of 21.2 points, 5.4 rebounds, 1.8 3-pointers and 1.4 steals.

Thunder GM Sam Presti said that SG Jeremy Lamb "is definitely going to be a contributor to our team in the near future."
Lamb made 23 brief appearances with the Thunder as a rookie, spending most of the season with the Tulsa 66ers where he averaged 21.2 points, 1.8 threes, 5.4 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.4 steals per game. Kevin Martin will be an unrestricted free agent this summer, and if he's not retained Lamb could step into a considerable role behind Thabo Sefolosha in 2013-14.

Jeremy Lamb scored a career-high 13 points on 6-of-21 shooting with seven boards, two assists and one block in 41 minutes.
He played just 105 minutes the entire season prior to this game and the Thunder got their studs some rest before they play this weekend. Lamb was part of the James Harden deal and his fantasy value would have been a lot higher had that trade not gone down.

Sidelined
Russell Westbrook (knee surgery) no longer needs crutches.
A great sign for Westbrook's recovery. He was expected to use crutches until about mid-June, so he shed them right on schedule. As things stand, there is no reason to believe Westbrook's availability will be compromised as he's on track to be ready well before the start of training camp.
