Robbie Hummel underwent successful knee surgery on Tuesday.
Hummel is expected to be sidelined for four-to-six weeks as he recovers and is currently playing overseas. He was a second-round pick by the Timberwolves in the 2012 draft.

Timberwolves second-round pick Robbie Hummel injured his knee while playing for Obradoiro.
Hummel is spending the season with the Spanish team, and after so many knee problems in college, it's unfortunate that he's now dealing with a meniscus injury. Despite being drafted, Hummel still faces an uphill battle to make an imprint in the NBA.

Updating a previous item, Robbie Hummel has officially signed with the Spanish club Obradoiro.
Hummel was the 58th pick of the Timberwolves in this year's draft and his rights will remain property of Minnesota if he can make his way back to the NBA.

Robbie Hummel is reportedly close to signing a contract with the Spanish club Obradoiro.
Hummel lost a lot of his luster as an NBA prospect after suffering two torn ACLs. The Wolves invested the 58th pick on the Purdue senior and have not signed him. It appears his professional career won't be starting stateside.

After undergoing knee surgery Monday, Malcolm Lee had an operation on his hip on Wednesday.
The hip procedure completes a surgery doubleheader for Lee, who faces a very lengthy and difficult rehab to get back on the court. Needless to say, he's out for the season.

Flip Saunders said there is no repair work necessary with Kevin Love before next season begins.
"I don't think so," he said when asked if there needs to be "any repair between the organization and the player." Love's lost season is raising questions about his future with the Timberwolves, but he's close to Rick Adelman and the team is confident about their future around Love. Saunders revealed that Love is about a week and a half out from doing "unlimited" physical activity, so he'll be good to go well in advance of training camp.

Former Timberwolves GM David Kahn believes Nikola Pekovic is "probably aiming for a double-digit salary" as a restricted free agent during the offseason.
It's what we expected to hear, but Pekovic's free agency has the potential to turn into a monster headache for the team. The Wolves aren't good enough as currently constructed, but they can't really afford to lose Pekovic without a suitable replacement. A desperate team will throw Pekovic a multi-year offer at something like $10-12 million per season, a figure that may be difficult for Minnesota to match when looking at all of the holes on the roster. It's rare a team lets a restricted free agent leave, especially someone as critical as Pekovic is to Minnesota.
