Allen Iverson has decided to pass on an offer from the Mavericks' D-League affiliate.
Iverson badly wants back in the NBA, but he's not willing to submit himself to buses and games for the Texas Legends in places like Sioux Falls. "I thank Donnie [Nelson] and Dallas for the consideration and while I think the D-League is a great opportunity, it is not the route for me," Iverson tweeted Tuesday. He apparently fails to realize that putting together a non-disruptive season while swallowing his pride would do wonders for his image. Now 37, Iverson is just about out of chances to get back in the league.

Allen Iverson still hopes to return to the NBA, but he also remains interested in signing another contract in China.
It's very unlikely that an NBA team would gamble on Iverson at this point in his career, given his age, attitude, and how poorly he played with the Nuggets, Sixers and Grizzlies from 2008-2010. As for playing in China, Iverson said "the team that wants me to join has got to show me that they really mean it, like 'hey we really need you'." It still doesn't sound like he's ready to accept a bit role off any team's bench.

The Knicks will not pursue free agent Allen Iverson, sources tell the New York Post.
It's not exactly breaking news. Iverson wants back in the NBA, but he hasn't played since looking inept with the Sixers in 2010. We'd be stunned if any team takes a chance on the future Hall of Famer at this point.

Allen Iverson, who delivered the game ball in an emotional pregame moment prior to Game 6, says he still wants to play professional basketball, but realizes it may not happen in the NBA.
Iverson would have to drastically change his mindset and accept being a role player, and even if that happened, a return to the NBA is not likely.

Jason Richardson's knee surgery was called "Denovo surgery."
Denovo surgery is where the doctors take juvenile cartilage and implant it back into the damaged knees where there is a cartilage issue present. This was an alternative to micro-fracture surgery, which most fantasy basketball owners are all too familiar with at this point. Even without setbacks, Richardson won't be able to resume normal basketball activity until "late January-early February."

An NBA GM said that Andrew Bynum won't get more than a one-year deal.
This isn't exactly earth-shattering news on Bynum and conventional wisdom would suggest that most teams would be extremely apprehensive to sign him to a multi-year contract. He missed every game this year and over the previous five seasons, Bynum missed 26.0 games per season. A 25-year-old center already having serious durability issues is going to make it tough on his agent to get leverage in contract negotiations.
