Chargers OC Ken Whisenhunt suggested Melvin Gordon could be a bigger part of the passing game in 2018.
With Hunter Henry (ACL) out for the year, the Chargers could look to the running backs to replace some of his production. "We can do some different things because Melvin has become such a good receiver out of the backfield," Whisenhunt said. "That's been a real bonus that we've had. Those two guys [Gordon and Austin Ekeler], and their adaptability and flexibility can help some." Gordon already saw 83 targets last season, so any increase will be marginal. Still, every extra target will be a boost. Gordon is a back-end RB1. Jun 11 - 8:58 AM
