Philip Rivers completed 21-of-35 passes for 228 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception in the Chargers' 27-20, Week 17 loss to the Broncos.
And that caps what was a dreadful season for the Chargers, who will own the No. 3 overall pick in the 2016 draft. Statistically, however, Rivers had a fine year. He completed 437-of-661 passes (66.1 percent) for a career-high 4,792 yards and a 29:13 TD:INT ratio. The 661 attempts blew his previous career-high of 582 out of the water. That's what happens when you lose a lot of games. Rivers really had to do a lot with very little this season. His offensive line was never healthy, and Keenan Allen was lost to I.R. due to a kidney injury back in Week 8. Antonio Gates was rarely 100 percent, and Stevie Johnson missed time over the second half of the year. Danny Woodhead ended up leading San Diego in most receiving categories. Rivers turned 34 last month and signed a new five-year deal back in August. He has a good 3-5 years left in him. It's unclear if he'll be playing in San Diego or Los Angeles in 2016.
