Ravens MLB Ray Lewis said after Sunday's AFC Championship Game loss to the Patriots that he's "absolutely not" retiring.
"Is this my last time as a Raven?" Lewis said, rhetorically. "Absolutely not." Set to turn 37 in May, Lewis wore down late in the 2011 season and he was a liability both as a run defender and coverage linebacker during the playoffs. The Ravens figure to bring Lewis back at his roughly $5 million salary in 2012, but it's certainly conceivable that Lewis' snaps will be scaled back.

Following Sunday's win over the Texans, Ray Lewis hinted that he has no plans to retire.
Lewis was asked if he's played his final home game in Baltimore. "Football is too fun for me, man," said Lewis, who turns 37 in May. "Whenever God says time is enough, then it's enough. But when you're having the fun that I'm having, and you're playing at the level I'm playing at, do it until you can't do it no more." Lewis had a team-high eight tackles against the Texans.

Ray Lewis is no longer promising to walk away from the NFL if the Ravens win the Super Bowl this season.
Lewis is backtracking on a promise he made in August to retire after 16 seasons if the Ravens hoist the Lombardi Trophy. Though his play has suffered since returning from a turf toe injury, Lewis was among the league's best inside linebackers in the first half of the season. He turns 37 in May.

Ravens coach John Harbaugh insisted Monday that MLB Ray Lewis (toe) is "100 percent."
"He looks great," Harbaugh said. "Any report to the contrary is absolutely untrue. His toe is 100 percent. Has been for a couple weeks." Lewis looked rusty down the stretch after returning from a four-week absence in Week 15, but should benefit greatly from the Ravens' first-round bye. Despite the injury and absence, Lewis graded out as the fifth-best inside linebacker in football this season by Pro Football Focus.

Ravens KR David Reed (torn ACL) is hoping to soon resume running.
Reed is less than two months removed from his ACL tear, but says he "(feels) like I’m getting a lot of the motor control back." He hopes to be ready for training camp, but is still a candidate to begin the year on PUP. Fumbles cost Reed his job in Week 10 last season, and he won't be guaranteed a roster spot in 2012.
