ESPN's Chris Mortensen confirms that free agent Marc Bulger "does not want to play" football anymore.
Adam Schefter reported on August 3 that Bulger had decided to retire. Some in the national media have pulled for Bulger's return, but the 34-year-old informed the Colts that he wasn't interested during a recent inquiry.

Retired QB Marc Bulger has informed the Ravens that he'd be willing to return to football if Joe Flacco got hurt.
Ravens offensive coordinator Cam Cameron recently reached out to Bulger. Bulger, however, has shown zero desire to take quarterback snaps in real games. We suspect he might re-sign with the team during the season in event of Flacco injury, but only as a backup to Tyrod Taylor. Bulger doesn't want to play.

Free agent Marc Bulger has decided to retire, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
After 11 seasons and two Pro Bowls, Bulger says he is passing up opportunities to keep playing at age 34. He'll be remembered as the man that took over for Kurt Warner in St. Louis, but Bulger could never get the Rams over the hump despite a 12-win season in 2003. Injuries sapped the later part of his career and he'll end up with 22,814 yards, 122 touchdowns and 93 interceptions.

The Cardinals have reportedly begun pursuit of four veteran quarterbacks Tuesday, including free agent Marc Bulger.
The Arizona Republic confirms the Cardinals have already talked trade with the Eagles and Broncos on Kevin Kolb and Kyle Orton. They have also been in discussions with the player reps for Matt Hasselbeck and Bulger. The latter two are extreme longshots in Arizona. The Cardinals are simply putting fallback plans in place while also calling the Eagles' bluff on an inflated asking price for Kolb.

Ravens assistant GM Eric DeCosta said the team is "very excited" about Jacoby Jones as a receiver this season.
"We're very excited about Jacoby and the progress he made throughout last season," DeCosta said. "We think we've got some very good young players that can step up and contribute. Deonte Thompson isn't a heralded name, but a guy we think is going to be a good player. We're excited about Tandon Doss. David Reed has had a lot of injuries. He's flashed in practice and made plays." Add Tommy Streeter to the list of young receivers who could see a bigger role in 2013. DeCosta also wouldn't rule out the Ravens signing a veteran receiver.

Ravens placed WR LaQuan Williams on injured reserve with a hamstring injury, ending his season.
A deep reserve, Williams appeared in just 11 games on special teams this season, and failed to play a snap on offense. The second-year undrafted free agent will have to claw for a roster spot in 2013.
