49ers LT Joe Staley (illness) is questionable for Monday night's game against the Cardinals.
Staley hasn't practiced all week, and he's the only Niner in danger of missing the game. San Francisco doesn't have a true back-up at either tackle spot, but veteran Leonard Davis or fourth-round rookie Joe Looney make the most sense to fill in on the line if Staley is forced to miss.

49ers LT Joe Staley (concussion) is active for Thursday night's game against the Seahawks.
It's notable news because Staley suffered a concussion just four days ago in Sunday's loss to the Giants. He was listed as questionable on the injury report after putting in limited practices this week. Staley's presence is a boost for San Fran's offense against the vaunted Seattle defensive front.

49ers LT Joe Staley (concussion) is listed as questionable for Thursday Night Football, and considered "truly questionable" by CSN Bay Area.
It's surprising Staley has any chance of playing just four days after getting concussed, but his presence would be a huge boost against Seattle's fearsome defense. Even if Staley can't go tomorrow, he's now all but assured of returning in Week 8.

Kendall Hunter (Achilles surgery) still expects to be a full go for training camp.
Hunter, who blew out his left Achilles' tendon on Nov. 25, recently resumed sprint work. He won't participate in OTAs or minicamps, but claims he's on track to battle for reps behind Frank Gore come August. Still, it would be an awfully quick recovery for Hunter. Note that Mikel Leshoure's rehab from the same injury lasted roughly 13 months. Leshoure also lacked burst upon return.

Although the 49ers' medical exam of Marcus Lattimore (knee surgeries) yielded positive results according to Jim Harbaugh, the coach says Lattimore must take a "step back" in terms of cutting drills.
"The ACL looks really good for Marcus," insisted Harbaugh. "We're just going to have to take a step back in terms of the cutting because we want that inside of the knee, the lateral side of the knee to heal fully. But we're good." Lattimore conceded he'd be "fine" with sitting out the entire 2013 season. Harbaugh said the 49ers will determine his playing status at a later date.

Mario Manningham agreed to a pay cut to stay in San Francisco, slashing his base salary from $3.6 million to $1.8 million.
Manningham is coming off ACL and PCL reconstruction, so he had no leverage. The total pay cut is actually $2.15 million because Manningham agreed to eliminate a $250,000 offseason roster bonus in addition to a $100,000 workout bonus. Manningham suffered the injury in Week 16 and is not expected to be healthy for training camp. Anything the 49ers get from him in 2013 will be a bonus.

49ers WRs Kyle Williams (torn ACL) and Mario Manningham (torn ACL and PCL) will not participate in OTAs.
Williams was facing an uphill battle to be ready for the offseason program, but he's reportedly on pace to return at the start of training camp. Manningham was never expected to participate in OTAs, and he's a candidate to start the season on the PUP list. Both will compete for roster spots.
