5/7/2012: Signed a three-year, $10.805 million contract. The deal included a $3 million signing bonus. Another $2.3 million is available through incentives based on stats, Pro Bowls, and playoff berths. Fred Jackson will be a full participant when the Bills' offseason program opens in two weeks.
F-Jax is fully recovered from the right LCL sprain and right MCL sprain that ruined his 2012 season. "I’m on track, ready to go," said Jackson, who turned 32 in February. "I’m trying to hit the ground running and do as much as I can. I’ve been cleared by all the doctors so I’m ready to get back into it."

Fred Jackson says he feels "100 percent" recovered from the two knee injuries that ruined his 2012 season.
Jackson sprained his right LCL in Week 1, before a Grade 2 MCL sprain of the same knee ended his season in Week 14. "I’m doing some lifting now," F-Jax said. I’m 100-percent, I feel like it. I don’t anticipate any kind of drawbacks or anything before I get cleared by the doctors next week." Jackson, 32, also says he has "no problems" sharing carries with C.J. Spiller in 2013.

Fred Jackson said he was never 100 percent after spraining the LCL in his right knee on his sixth carry of the season in Week 1.
"Eighty percent is a good number," Jackson said. "That was probably the best I felt all year was 80 percent healthy." F-Jax rushed back from the injury and clearly looked a few steps slower. Turning 32 next month, Jackson needs another month of rehab before the knee is ready for offseason workouts.

Fred Jackson said he wants to remain with the Bills even if he's asked to be C.J. Spiller's backup next season.
The Bills' next head coach will have final word, but even Jackson seems resigned to his fate. He'll be 32 next month and is coming off a season in which he averaged 3.80 yards per carry. "You just got to give C.J. credit," Jackson said. "He played amazing this year, and with the opportunity he got he made a tremendous amount of plays." Jackson could even end up being cut if the Bills want to save money at the backup running back spot. He's due $2.15 million in base salary in 2013.

Bills TE Scott Chandler is sitting out full-squad OTAs while continuing to rehab his torn left ACL.
Chandler suffered the injury on December 23 and his training camp status is in question. The 28-year-old's role in new coach Doug Marrone's offense is also uncertain, although Buffalo did little to upgrade tight end other than draft Chris Gragg in the seventh round. Chandler's 2013 fantasy outlook is bleak.

Bills re-signed exclusive rights free agent TE Mike Caussin to a one-year, $630,000 contract.
Caussin missed the entire 2012 season as he recovered from a torn ACL. Assuming he makes the roster, Cuassin will provide special teams help and insurance at tight end with Scott Chandler now dealing with an ACL tear of his own.
