Broncos MLB Joe Mays (broken ankle/leg) is not medically cleared for OTAs.
Mays is in grave danger of losing his roster spot. He's owed an untenable $4 million base salary, isn't healthy, and people inside the Broncos' organization want Nate Irving to start at middle linebacker. On day two of April's draft, NFL Network reported Mays was available for trade. Denver found no takers.

NFL Network's Daniel Jeremiah reports the Broncos have made ILB Joe Mays available via trade.
Mays, 28 in July, is due a $4 million salary in 2013, and he lost his starting job with the Broncos last season and then broke his ankle in Week 8. The two-down thumper could likely be had for a late-round pick. Mays will almost certainly be released if the Broncos can't unload him.

The Denver Post suggests MLB Joe Mays will likely be released if the Broncos sign free agent LB Stewart Bradley.
It makes sense. Mays lost his starting job last season, and then broke his ankle in Week 8. He's also due a prohibitive $4 million salary. Bradley's signing seems likely. Mays is a two-down thumper.

Broncos MLB Joe Mays (ankle) recently had his boot removed and is aiming for a return to the field for OTAs.
"I should be just about there (for) OTAs," Mays said. "But definitely training camp." Mays broke his ankle in Week 8. He's due a $4 million salary in 2013 after losing his starting middle linebacker job to now-free agent Keith Brooking.

Updating a previous item, Knowshon Moreno (knee surgery) has not been medically cleared for Broncos OTAs.
With Willis McGahee a no-show and Moreno still hobbled, second-round pick Montee Ball will soak up first-team reps during the Organized Team Activities. Moreno is at Denver's Dove Valley facility, but he's not practicing. He's likely to be healed by training camp, but projects as a third-stringer this year.
