Seahawks signed offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell to a contract extension.
Bevell was a candidate for the Arizona head-coaching vacancy, but withdrew his name after re-upping in Seattle. The details of the extension are unknown, but it's a good keep after Seattle lost defensive coordinator Gus Bradley to the Jaguars. The Seahawks ranked No. 17 in total offense this season, but the unit really trended up after Russell Wilson found his stride.

Seahawks hired Darrell Bevell as offensive coordinator.
For a coach who managed a No. 23 ranking in yards and No. 29 mark in points as Vikings OC in 2010, it's a very good job. After working for Brad Childress, he'll also have more power than ever before as the true offensive boss under defensive-minded head coach Pete Carroll. Bevell's offenses did rank fifth and second, respectively, in Brett Favre's best season (2009), but ultimately his units were inconsistent in Minnesota. It's hard to say the Seahawks wouldn't have been better off keeping Jeremy Bates.

ESPN's John Clayton reports that the Seahawks have offered their offensive coordinator job to Darrell Bevell.
An agreement is expected to be reached at some point Thursday. Bevell was Minnesota's offensive coordinator for the past five seasons, but new coach Leslie Frazier decided to go in a different direction, hiring former Falcons assistant head coach/quarterbacks coach Bill Musgrave. Bevell will replace Jeremy Bates, who led the Seahawks to the 28th-ranked offense this season.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Darrell Bevell has emerged as the favorite for the Seahawks' offensive coordinator job.
According to Schefter, Bevell has been Pete Carroll's preferred choice all along. Schefter also reports that former Miami (FL) offensive coordinator Mark Whipple has emerged as a candidate for the same position in Cleveland.

Percy Harvin said Tuesday that he hasn't had a migraine headache in two years.
Harvin is often criticized for an inability to stay healthy, but before his 2012 ankle injury he had missed just three games in three NFL seasons. Since getting diagnosed with sleep apnea in 2010, he's been able to avoid the severe headaches that had plagued him all the way back to his University of Florida days. "Been fully healthy from that aspect so everything's been good," Harvin said. "I'm going to knock on wood that nothing resurfaces but it's been all great."

The Seattle Times doesn't envision the Seahawks cutting TE Zach Miller.
We don't, either. Miller has a mammoth cap number for 2013 as he's due a $6.8 million salary and a $3 million roster bonus, but he was finally starting to come on in the latter stages of the 2012 season, capping it off with an eight-catch, 142-yard, one-score Divisional Round playoff game outburst against the Falcons. He should be in line for a bigger role on offense this coming season.
