Jaguars agreed to terms with DT Sen'Derrick Marks, formerly of the Titans, on a one-year contract.
Pumped up endlessly by his agent, Marks comes off the market 21 days into free agency. Assuming Marks' price is in line with how long he wallowed without a deal, it's a nice signing for a Jags team that's extremely thin at defensive tackle. Marks graded out as one of the league's worst defensive tackles in Pro Football Focus' ratings last season, but is still only 26. He'll play somewhere in the neighborhood of 600-700 snaps for the Jags. The Jags are trying to shore up a run defense that allowed 141 yards per game in 2012, but Marks has never been particularly adept as either a rusher or run-stopper.

The Jaguars are hosting DT Sen'Derrick Marks for a free-agent visit on Monday.
Tyson Alualu is Jacksonville's only defensive tackle who's made an NFL start. Marks is 26 years old and was the 62nd overall pick in the 2009 draft. The Jags would probably consider Marks if he's willing to sign for dirt cheap.

Free agent DT Sen'Derrick Marks' rep insists his client is receiving "plenty" of interest, but doesn't expect a new deal with the Titans.
Marks hasn't been publicly linked to any teams since the start of free agency, but is supposedly "entertaining offers from other teams, long and short term." Marks' rep said the Titans don't have "any interest" in a short-term deal. That would suggest they're only interested in bringing him back if the bulk of the cap charge can be offloaded to future seasons. Marks is going to get role-player money.

The New York Daily News is "told" that one of the teams interested in free agent DT Sen'Derrick Marks is the Giants.
Marks, 26, is an undersized gap shooter at 6-foot-2, 294. The Giants are always looking to compile talented defensive linemen, and we don't anticipate Marks' price tag being especially high despite a healthy amount of free-agent buzz.

Aaron's younger brother, Rodgers is competing with fellow undrafted QB Matt Scott for No. 3 duties. This gives the more-talented Scott another leg up in a competition the Jaguars would likely prefer him to win.

Maurice Jones-Drew (foot) said his goal is to resume full-scale workouts in the month ahead of training camp.
Jones-Drew didn't practice with the Jags during Monday's OTAs. Instead, he ran 30-yard dashes at three-quarters speed. "Lately, it's been one day on, a day off, two days on, a day off — it's part of the process," he said. "I'm closer than I think. I just want to take my time and make sure we do it the right way." Rehab from Lisfranc surgery is nothing to be brushed off lightly. We'll be watching MJD's progress closely as he enters a contract year.

Coach Gus Bradley said he's giving suspended WR Justin Blackmon a clean slate.
Blackmon has two DUI arrests and a four-game substance-abuse violation on his resume since 2010. But none of that occurred while Bradley was in contact with the 2012 No. 5 overall pick. The pair is having regular conversations as Blackmon tries to stabilize his life and career. "He's never done anything wrong with me. It'd be different if I was talking to him and I didn't feel like we were connecting at all. I do feel a connection," Bradley said.
