Bengals re-signed WR/KR Brandon Tate to a one-year deal.
According to Pro Football Focus, Tate saw 278 offensive snaps in 2012, catching 13-of-24 targets for 211 yards and one score. He also averaged 24.8 yards per kick return and 8.9 yards per punt return. Tate started three games as an injury fill-in, but was unimpressive in that role. He's well off the fantasy radar.

The Cincinnati Enquirer does not expect free agent WR/KR Brandon Tate to re-sign with the Bengals.
If the Bengals bring back free agent Adam "Pacman" Jones, they can easily fill the return specialist spot with him and a draft pick. Tate managed just 8.9 yards per punt return and 24.8 yards per kick return last season anyway.

Brandon Tate got the start at split end for the Bengals in Week 9, but came away with one catch for 17 yards.
He saw six targets, but remains an inefficient, unnatural NFL receiver. Mohamed Sanu, the little-used rookie, would be a better option outside at this point. Sanu finished Sunday's game with two catches for 29 yards on three targets. Avoid Bengals wide receivers aside from A.J. Green moving forward. Andrew Hawkins has potential, but simply doesn't play a big enough role.

Brandon Tate was held to one reception for three yards in the Bengals' Week 7 loss to Pittsburgh.
Tate got the start in place of Armon Binns (ankle). As usual, Tate's biggest impact came in the return game, where he brought back three kickoffs for an average of 36 yards. A hot fantasy waiver-wire pickup several years back with New England, Tate has never developed into a capable NFL wide receiver.

The Cincinnati Enquirer's Joe Reedy "highly doubts" both Bernard Scott and Giovani Bernard will make the Bengals' 53-man roster.
In other words, Scott's roster spot is in jeopardy. Bernard obviously isn't going anywhere after being the first running back drafted last weekend. The Bengals re-signed Scott, 29, to a one-year deal last month. Cincinnati will likely keep four running backs: BenJarvus Green-Ellis, Bernard, special teams ace Cedric Peerman, and sixth-round pick Rex Burkhead.
