Dez Bryant revealed this week that he never felt 100 percent healthy during the 2011 season.
Bryant's early-season quadriceps injury caused him to miss one game and disappear for long stretches of others. "I don't think I was ever where I wanted to be," Bryant said. "It was just the injuries, my performance. I didn't feel like they healed quick enough." After working with strength and conditioning coach Mike Woicik this offseason, Bryant feels "stronger than ever" and more explosive coming out of his breaks. We expect double-digit touchdowns with Tony Romo's red-zone security blanket, Laurent Robinson, out of the picture.

Cowboys WRs coach Jimmy Robinson talked up Dez Bryant's offseason on Saturday.
"He's doing great," Robinson said. "The teaching sessions got off to a good start. He's out here working really, really hard to get better. It's got to make a difference." This is Bryant's first full offseason since being the No. 24 pick of the 2010 draft. Coming off a 63/928/9 sophomore campaign, Bryant could be ready to explode as a third-year pro.

Dez Bryant and Andre Johnson are reportedly among the players who are restructuring their contracts to free up salary cap space.
Bryant converted a $1.435 million roster bonus to a pro-rated signing bonus. Johnson converted his $6.5 million base salary to a bonus spread over multiple years. The Cowboys are expected to be aggressive in free agency. The Texans are freeing up money to sign their own free agents.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones says he never talked to Dez Bryant about his January altercation at a Miami nightclub.
"It was not a significant enough thing to me ... I just didn't have the time and didn't want to make the emphasis with him," Jones said. Bryant was not charged with a crime following the incident. Bryant's only ongoing off-the-field issue is a December lawsuit brought by a New York "micro-finance company" that alleges Bryant failed to repay more than half of a $100,000 loan.

The Cowboys expect Jones to be 100 percent by training camp. The contract-year tailback battled a right shoulder issue, a high ankle sprain, and a hamstring pull last season. He'll return as DeMarco Murray's change-of-pace back.

Cowboys rookie WR Danny Coale will undergo surgery on Thursday to repair a broken bone in his left foot.
Per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, it's a broken fifth metatarsal that should keep Coale out a month. The Cowboys hope to have Coale on the field early in training camp, but the missed practice time will set the fifth-rounder back in his competition for the third receiver role. Andre Holmes, Kevin Ogletree, Dwayne Harris, and undrafted rookie Tim Benford are also vying for the job.
