Falcons DT Corey Peters triggered an escalator in his rookie deal, raising his 2013 salary from $575,000 to $1.323 million.
Peters has started 38 games over his first three seasons, working in a four-man rotation at defensive tackle for the Falcons. The 2010 third-rounder recorded a three-year low 15 tackles in 2012 and could be battling for a roster spot this offseason. He gets pushed around versus the run.

He's questionable to return. With Lawrence Sidbury and Peria Jerry among the Week 12 inactives, the Falcons are thin up front against Doug Martin.

Falcons activated DT Corey Peters (foot) from the PUP list.
Peters really come on as an impact defensive tackle last season, racking up 26 tackles and three sacks in 15 starts, and showing disruptive capabilities. He figures to return as a "wave" player behind Jon Babineaux and Peria Jerry.

Falcons DT Corey Peters (foot, PUP) resumed practicing Monday.
"He practiced on a limited basis and we will up his participation as the week goes on," coach Mike Smith said. The Falcons are within their three-week window to activate the 2010 third-round pick. Peters' presence would immediately help against the run.
