Mark Ingram rushed 25 times for 114 yards and two touchdowns while catching five passes for 36 yards in the Saints' 52-38, Week 6 win over the Lions.
This was a wild, marathon game which finished well after the late afternoon games kicked and featured five non-offensive touchdowns. Up 45-10 at one point, the Saints were able to lean on the running game most of the day, and Ingram took advantage. Alvin Kamara got the start, but Ingram was given three touches including a catch on the first drive, and he got loose for a 51-yard run down the sideline on the second possession. His first touchdown was a one-yard plunge after a turnover and long Ted Ginn catch set up the Saints at the goal line, and he scored again from two yards out in the second quarter. Ingram was mostly bottled up in the second half, but the 11 carries he saw after the break allowed him to top 100 yards on the ground for the first time this season. Locked in as the early-down and goal-line back on a great offense, Ingram will be in the RB1 conversation moving forward. Oct 15 - 4:51 PM
