The New Orleans Times-Picayune believes "all signs are pointing toward" a "big year" from third-year RB Mark Ingram.
Ingram is healthy for the first time as a pro and will lead the Saints in early-down rushing attempts with Chris Ivory gone to the Jets. Beat writer Mike Triplett believes it's "not unrealistic" for Ingram to flirt with 1,000 yards or double-digit TDs if coach Sean Payton honors his commitment to the run. While that's an optimistic projection, Ingram could be a value in 2013 fantasy drafts.

According to the New Orleans Times-Picayune, Mark Ingram is 100 percent healthy for the "first time since he left Alabama."
"I've just been working hard this offseason, trying to get in the best shape of my life," Ingram said. The 2011 first-round pick spent last offseason recovering from knee and toe operations, and was nicked up for a majority of his rookie campaign. Ingram dealt with left knee issues in college. Coach Sean Payton has made it clear he's hoping for an improved run game in 2013, and reporter Mike Triplett believes it's "not unrealistic" to project 1,000 yards and 10 touchdowns for Ingram. Ingram played better down the stretch last season, but that may be a stretch with Pierre Thomas and Darren Sproles both still in the picture.

Mark Ingram rushed 10 times for 39 yards in the Saints' Week 17 loss to the Panthers.
When the Saints get behind, Ingram becomes a non-factor. And since the 7-9 Saints were trailing plenty this season, Ingram was found himself on many fantasy waiver wires a month into the season. The former Heisman Trophy winner never topped 100 yards and scored one touchdown over the first nine games of the season. He also managed a mere 3.85 YPC on his 156 totes. Ingram will be back as a short-yardage prong of the Saints' three-headed running back committee in 2013.

Mark Ingram rushed for 53 yards and a touchdown on 21 carries in Week 16 versus the Cowboys.
Ingram added a rare catch for seven yards out of the backfield, and once again led the team in touches this week. Ingram handled much of the running game, while Pierre Thomas and Darren Sproles combined to reel in 14 passes in the aerial attack. Ingram's 2.5 YPC on Sunday is a bit disgusting, but he should lead the way in carries again in Week 17 versus the Panthers.

Saints coach Sean Payton promises the looming contract showdown with Jimmy Graham will have no effect on where Graham lines up in 2013.
Graham, entering a contract year, is going to want to be paid as a receiver whether it's on a long-term deal or franchise tag. He could command upwards of $12 million annually. "We're going to put people in different spots all the time to get them open," said Payton. "Whatever we have to do is not going to be dictated by the interpretation of some rule. We're just going to try to win."
