Browns acquired RB Dion Lewis from the Eagles in exchange for LB Emmanuel Acho.
A fifth-round pick of the Eagles in 2011, Lewis lost backup duties to Bryce Brown during training camp last season. Still, he's just 22 years old and has shown flashes while averaging 4.75 yards per carry on 36 career attempts. Lewis will try to push Montario Hardesty for the change-of-pace role behind workhorse Trent Richardson in Cleveland. Acho, a 2012 sixth-round pick, missed his entire rookie year with a torn meniscus in his knee.

NFL sources tell the Philadelphia Inquirer that Eagles RB Dion Lewis in on the trade block.
Lewis is on the trade block every year. After falling behind rookie Bryce Brown last season as LeSean McCoy's primary backup, Lewis has just 36 career carries to his name. At 5-foot-8, 195 pounds, he's considered too small for Chip Kelly's system, which seems odd considering Kelly gave 5-foot-9, 196-pound Kenjon Barner 278 carries last year. Interested teams would have to like Lewis more than a player they could draft in the sixth or seventh round. Lewis will likely end up being waived.

Dion Lewis rushed three times for 15 yards in the Eagles' Week 17 loss to the Giants.
Lewis entered training camp as LeSean McCoy's primary backup, but he quickly got passed up by Bryce Brown. He ended up rushing just 13 times all season even though McCoy missed four games with a concussion. Lewis will be fighting for a roster spot under a new regime in 2013.

Dion Lewis rushed just one time for three yards in Thursday night's Week 15 loss to the Bengals.
Lewis added one catch on a screen pass, but it was blown up in the backfield for a four-yard loss. With LeSean McCoy nearing a return, Lewis should be relegated back to third-string in the very near future.

Browns WR David Nelson (knee surgery) isn't participating in this week's voluntary workouts.
Nelson is still rehabbing his torn ACL, but should be ready for June's mandatory minicamp. At 6-foot-5, 220 pounds, Nelson joins Greg Little and Josh Gordon to form one of the biggest receiver trios in the league. With new coach Rob Chudzinski's history of heavily utilizing the tight end, however, it's a poor bet Nelson will approach his 2011 stat line of 61/658/5 as the fourth option in the offense.
