Eagles RB Chris Polk has slimmed down to 210 pounds.
Polk is listed at 5-foot-11 and 222 pounds on the Eagles' official website. The second-year pro is dropping weight in order to play in new coach Chip Kelly's offense, which Polk says he is "excited" about. With Dion Lewis out of the mix, Polk is Philly's No. 3 back behind LeSean McCoy and Bryce Brown.

Eagles RB Chris Polk was spotted on crutches and in a walking boot after injuring his toe in Wednesday's practice.
Polk has already been ruled out for Week 10. The undrafted rookie power back has zero offensive touches in seven appearances this year while playing behind LeSean McCoy and Bryce Brown.

The Eagles are considering moving undrafted rookie RB Chris Polk to fullback.
"Certainly that’s been discussed and thought of," OC Marty Mornhinweg said. "He is a physical player, isn’t he? ... I think he is an excellent ball carrier, I think he could be an excellent blocker as well." Improved versatility could help Polk's chances of making the roster. He's the No. 4 tailback right now.

According to the Philadelphia Inquirer, undrafted rookie RB Chris Polk "continues to impress with his blocking" in camp practices.
Blocking skills are essential for any reserve back, but particularly in Philly. Polk is battling fellow rookie Bryce Brown for the Eagles' No. 3 job, and his superior passing-game skills could give him a leg up. Brown has never pass blocked, and it has showed in camp. Dion Lewis remains LeSean McCoy's top backup.

Eagles TE/H-back James Casey underwent arthroscopic surgery to clean out loose cartilage in his right knee.
Casey, who signed a three-year, $12M contract in March, will miss the rest of spring workouts. He is expected to be ready for training camp. It's a setback for a player trying to learn Chip Kelly's offense and competing for snaps with both Brent Celek and rookie Zach Ertz. Casey was barely on the TE2 radar anyway.
