Giants CB Jayron Hosley left Sunday's game in the first quarter with an ankle injury.
Hosley was starting in place of the injured Prince Amukamara. He returned on the next series with his ankle heavily taped. Special teamer Justin Tryon will be forced to pick up snaps if Hosley aggravates the injury.

Giants CB Jayron Hosley's hamstring injury "isn't anything serious."
With 10 days to heal up, Hosley should be fine for Week 4 after leaving Thursday's win. Hosley has 10 tackles through three games, and picked off Cam Newton before departing last evening.

Giants rookie CB Jayron Hosley left Thursday night's game with a hamstring injury and will not return.
The Giants only dressed four corners in Week 3, so they'll play the last eight minutes of their blowout win over the Panthers with Corey Webster, Prince Amukamara, and Justin Tryon. Hosley had an interception in the first half.

Giants rookie CB Jayron Hosley (turf toe) will play in Wednesday's NFL opener.
Hosley was a full participant in Monday's practice. The third-round rookie is expected to act as the primary nickel corner this season, but may see a bigger boost in snaps Week 1 thanks to Prince Amukamara's ankle sprain.

Giants FB Henry Hynoski has been diagnosed with an injured left MCL and chip fracture to his lateral plateau.
It's actually a positive revelation for Hynoski. When he went down during Wednesday's OTA session, it looked like Hynoski could have blown out his ACL or patella. Instead, he will undergo surgery Friday and has a realistic shot at being back for Week 1. Hynoski graded out as Pro Football Focus' fifth-best fullback in terms of lead blocking last season.

Updating a previous item, Yahoo's Jason Cole now says Hakeem Nicks did
not
skip Wednesday's OTAs as a contractual protest.
This situation could get cleared up quickly if Nicks' camp would just say why he hasn't shown up. Instead, his agent has strongly denied the absence is contract related, but won't offer any more details. Nicks was in New York as of Tuesday night, so perhaps he'll show up this week to explain. He doesn't have much leverage after posting an injury-plagued 53/692/2 line last season.
