According to the Denver Post, Broncos fifth-round DL Malik Jackson has "consistently stood out" in training camp practices.
Jackson has three tackles, a sack, and forced fumble through three preseason games, and is capable of playing both end and tackle. A mountainous 6-foot-6, 284 pounds, Jackson was billed as a high-motor player coming out of Tennessee, and could see heavy snaps as a rookie.

Viewed as a "tweener" because he goes 6-foot-6, 284 and isn't necessarily a tackle or end, Jackson should find a home in defensive tackle-needy Denver. He rushes with a relentless motor, and has extensive run-stopping experience after playing out of position at "zero technique" nose tackle at Tennessee.

This is the pick the Broncos received from St. Louis in the Brandon Lloyd trade. A favorite of Rotoworld draft guru Josh Norris, Jackson has a prototypical five-technique body at 6-foot-6, 284 pounds (with nearly 34-inch arms). He still needs to get stronger, however, and should spend the bulk of his rookie year developing. Jackson could eventually play multiple positions for a Broncos team that likes to flash various defensive fronts under John Fox.

According to Sporting News' Russ Lande, Tennessee DL Malik Jackson has particularly appealed to 3-4 teams as a possible five-technique defensive end, and projects as a third- or fourth-round pick.
A longtime favorite of Rotoworld draft analyst Josh Norris, Jackson has a prototype five-technique body at 6-foot-6, 284 with nearly 34-inch arms. He is an effective interior pass rusher who plays relentlessly versus the run. Lande also pegs Jackson as a potential "two-gap" 4-3 tackle with starting potential.

With Willis McGahee a no-show and Moreno still hobbled, second-round pick Montee Ball will soak up first-team reps during the Organized Team Activities. Moreno is at Denver's Dove Valley facility, but he's not practicing. He's likely to be healed by training camp, but projects as a third-stringer this year.
