Owner Jim Irsay reiterated that the Colts still want to add a wide receiver.
The Colts currently have Reggie Wayne and T.Y. Hilton as their top-two wideouts. They may be looking to upgrade on LaVon Brazill, who Irsay said "must develop a strong commitment to his craft." Hilton was the Colts' No. 3 wideout last year and he racked up a 50/861/7 line, so this is a situation to monitor.

LaVon Brazill was held without a catch in the Colts' Week 17 win over the Texans.
A sixth-round pick in this past year's draft, Brazill had a mostly nondescript rookie season as the Colts' fourth receiver. With Donnie Avery unlikely to be re-signed as an unrestricted free agent, he could be a candidate for an expanded role in 2013. Brazill ultimately projects as a slot receiver in OC Bruce Arians' offense and is under contract for the next three seasons.

LaVon Brazill caught one pass for a 42-yard touchdown in the Colts' Week 13 win over the Lions.
The Lions' secondary somehow let Brazill get behind them with under three minutes left in the game while they were nursing a 12-point lead. Don't expect it to happen again. Brazill came into this game with nine catches, 136 yards and no touchdowns on the season as the Colts' No. 4 wideout.

LaVon Brazill caught two passes for 46 yards in Indy's Week 11 loss to the Patriots.
Both of Brazill's grabs went for over 20 yards. He turned on the jets on his second, sprinting around the entire first line of defense before being forced out of bounds. With just eight catches on the year, however, he's still not on the fantasy radar, even with Donnie Avery (concussion) questionable for Week 12.

Colts placed RB Donald Brown (ankle) and FB Robert Hughes on season-ending injured reserve.
We suspected a high-ankle sprain after Brown was ruled out so quickly last week. The transaction is welcome news for the workload of Vick Ballard, who faces Houston's stout run defense in two of the next three weeks. The oft-injured Brown has missed multiple games in three of his four seasons with the Colts. While he's likely to be back with the team at a reasonable $1.705 million salary next season, Brown has fallen behind Ballard in the eyes of the organization. His Dynasty value is in the tank.

Delone Carter recently underwent shoulder surgery.
Carter tumbled down the depth chart last season, getting just 32 carries in 10 games before an ankle injury landed him on the inactive list. The extent of this surgery is unclear, but he won't have a good shot at carries this year either. Both Vick Ballard and Donald Brown are back.
