Bills second-round WR Robert Woods is penciled in as the No. 2 receiver.
Woods started 38 games at USC, and he enters the NFL as a polished pro-ready receiver. He's also been hitting it off with QB E.J. Manuel, and the two connected on several passes at rookie minicamp. "[Woods] always seemed to be open and ran great routes," Manuel said. "You want to get the playmakers the ball." Woods is expected to man the Z receiver spot, while a host of others compete at the X position. Stevie Johnson will work the slot.

Bills signed second-round WR Robert Woods to a four-year contract.
Not dissimilar in play style from Stevie Johnson, Woods is an incredibly quick-footed possession type receiver who should be able to move all around the formation, playing both outside positions and in the slot. Considered NFL-ready after playing in USC's pro-style scheme, Woods shouldn't struggle to win a starting job as a rookie. He's more likely to struggle for consistent fantasy value, projecting as no more than a WR4/5 amid suspect quarterback play.

WGR 550 Buffalo confirms rookie WR Robert Woods is "firmly in the conversation" to be the starter opposite Steve Johnson.
The Bills believe Woods is "NFL ready" and he's expected to be an immediate starter at Z receiver. Coming from a pro-style system at USC, Woods shouldn't have any trouble picking up Buffalo's offense and has been working on his chemistry with E.J. Manuel during rookie minicamp. Woods faces very little in the way of proven talent for the No. 2 job. Behind him are T.J. Graham, Da'Rick Rogers, Marcus Easley, and Marquise Goodwin.

The Buffalo News projects Bills No. 41 pick Robert Woods as an "opening-day starter."
With Stevie Johnson moving to the slot, Woods figures to play Z receiver while the Bills hold a training-camp tryout at X, where T.J. Graham, Marquise Goodwin, Marcus Easley, and Da'Rick Rogers figure to compete. Woods is a similar receiver to Johnson with quick feet and suddenness in his pass patterns. He'd be a better fantasy prospect if the Bills had better quarterback play.

BuffaloBills.com reports that TE Scott Chandler (ACL surgery) is likely to be a participant in practice right from the start of training camp.
Chandler tore his ACL in Week 16 last season, and it's five months to the day since he underwent surgery. On Thursday, following the team's OTA practice, Chandler was on the field running routes and catching passes. The soon-to-be 29-year-old says he "feels good," and thinks it's "realistic" to be ready for camp. We're skeptical, but it certainly sounds like Chandler might be ready for Week 1.

Bills re-signed exclusive rights free agent TE Mike Caussin to a one-year, $630,000 contract.
Caussin missed the entire 2012 season as he recovered from a torn ACL. Assuming he makes the roster, Cuassin will provide special teams help and insurance at tight end with Scott Chandler now dealing with an ACL tear of his own.
