Brandin Cooks snagged six catches for 93 yards on nine targets Sunday in the Patriots’ Week 6 win over the Jets.
Now that’s more like it. Cooks didn’t visit the end zone on Sunday, but he still had a nice day for himself. It started inauspiciously with a bad drop in the first quarter but Cooks soon made his presence felt by reeling in an impossible 42-yard catch against Morris Claiborne. That set up a two-yard touchdown by Rob Gronkowski two plays later. Cooks stayed hot by absorbing all three of his targets for 41 yards in the second half. Sunday extended Cooks’ touchdown drought to three games, though he’s averaged a respectable 72 yards over that stretch. He gets the Falcons next week on Sunday Night Football. Oct 15 - 5:54 PM
