James White caught 5-of-16 targets for 45 yards in the Patriots' AFC Championship Game loss, adding five rushes for 11 yards.
White was the Patriots' most targeted pass catcher on a day where Tom Brady had no time to throw. White wasn't just targeted on dumpoffs, drawing multiple deep shots down the sideline, a la Shane Vereen. White was competent after replacing Dion Lewis this season, but wasn't an effective part of the Pats' game plan today. White made himself reasonably useful down the stretch, but is part of a backfield in major flux. It will depend on Lewis' health, but we wouldn't consider White a 2016 roster lock. Jan 24 - 7:26 PM
