| Pos | Role | Name |
| C | 1 | Antoine Vermette ActiveAntoine Vermette netted the lone goal for the Coyotes in their 2-1 loss to the Canucks on Thursday night. Vermette ended a five-game pointless skid. For a player receiving as much ice time as he does, Vermette doesn't produce at a top-six-forward rate. He has just seven goals and 14 points in 31 games this year. Radim Vrbata and Oliver Ekman-Larsson had the assists. Mar 22 |
| 2 | Martin Hanzal ActiveMartin Hanzal registered an assist on Thursday. Hanzal was pointless in his previous four contests. He's taken a step forwards this season with 11 goals and 21 points in 34 games this season. Apr 19 |
| 3 | Boyd Gordon ActiveBoyd Gordon had a goal and an assist on Wednesday. Gordon has four goals and 13 points in 40 contests this season. He never has been much of an asset in standard leagues, but he's hot lately with four goals and six points in his last eight games. Apr 11 |
| 4 | Kyle Chipchura ActiveKyle Chipchura tallied two goals in Phoenix’s 4-2 victory over Vancouver on Tuesday night. Chipchura has scored four of his five goals of the season in his past four games, so he’s definitely picked up his play offensively. His career high for goals in a season is six, so he should break this personal best. However, Phoenix does not rely heavily on Chipchura and he should not be looked upon as a serious fantasy option moving forward. Feb 27 |
| 5 | Chris Brown ActiveThe Coyotes recalled Chris Brown on Wednesday night. Brown, the team's second-round pick from the 2009 draft, made his NHL debut March 4. The 22-year-old has 25 goals, 40 points and 94 penalty minutes in the AHL this year. Apr 3 |
| LW | 1 | Mikkel Boedker ActiveMikkel Boedker said he wants to add a mean streak to his game before next season. Boedker has been accused of playing "too nice" by his general manager, Don Maloney. It's not something Boedker disagree with, saying he needs to learn to be a little "grumpy" in certain situations. Boedker also needs to work on his consistency in the offensive zone. The 23-year old had four goals and 15 points over his first 20 games but just three goals and 11 points over his final 28 contests. May 14 |
| 2 | Lauri Korpikoski ActiveLauri Korpikoski (upper body) returned to action on Monday. Korpikoski has six goals and 11 points in 33 games with a minus-three rating. He had four shots on goal in 14:53 minutes of action as the Coyotes were shut out on Monday. He has minimal value at best in fantasy pools. Apr 23 |
| 3 | Rob Klinkhammer ActiveRob Klinkhammer signed a two-year, $1.25 million contract with the Coyotes. Klinkhammer is coming off a one-year, two-way deal worth $650,000. The upside for him now is some job security on a one-way contract. He had five goals and 11 points in 22 NHL games, and he notched 44 points in 55 AHL games this season. May 17 |
| 4 | Brandon McMillan ActiveBrandon McMillan has been dealt to the Phoenix Coyotes for Matthew Lombardi. McMillan spent 60 games in his rookie season with the Ducks in 2010-11 but has spent most of the last two seasons in the minors as he played only 25 games with four assists last season and only six thus far in 2013 with a measly assist. He has a new chance to play in the desert but is likely a bottom-six forward at best. Apr 3 |
| RW | 1 | Shane Doan ActiveShane Doan does not have any regrets as to his re-signing with the Phoenix Coyotes last off-season. Doan waited until the day before the lockout before re-signing with Phoenix. He waited so long because of the uncertainty as to whether or not Greg Jamison would buy the team as he wanted to remain in Phoenix if he could. Well Jamison did not purchase the club and it is still unknown if the Coyotes will remain in the desert. May 12 |
| 2 | Radim Vrbata ActiveRadim Vrbata would like the Coyotes to add more offensive pieces before next season. The Coyotes lost Vrbata's partner-in-crime, Ray Whitney, to the Dallas Stars last summer and Vrbata's offensive numbers suffered. "That’s what we had with Ray the last few years," Vrbata said. "It’s too bad he couldn’t stay. It would help to bring some skill. It would help everybody -- power play, five-on-five play." Apr 30 |
| 3 | David Moss ActiveDavid Moss helped the Phoenix Coyotes beat the Edmonton Oilers 3-1 on Wednesday. Moss had a goal and an assist, giving him 20 points in 38 games this season. His peripherals don't really make him quite good enough to be a significant factor fantasy-wise, but he's probably appreciated on an offensively deficient team like the Coyotes. Apr 11 |
| 4 | Paul Bissonnette ActivePaul Bissonnette has an assist in three straight games. This is the first three-game point streak of Bissonnette's career. He's a bottom-six forward for the Coyotes and you'd have to be in a very deep fantasy league to warrant using him. Feb 27 |
| D | 1 | Keith Yandle ActiveKeith Yandle notched three assists in the Coyotes 5-4 shootout loss to Colorado in their home finale Friday night. With both teams already eliminated from the playoffs, the players still put on a good show for the 16,000 plus fans in Glendale. For those with fantasy interest in Friday’s game, Yandle continued to build on a comeback season after taking a step back during his 2011-12 campaign. Apr 27 |
| 2 | Oliver Ekman-Larsson ActiveCoyotes general manager Don Maloney is close to finishing a new contract extension, according to Sarah McLellan of the Arizona Republic/Phoenix Gazette. Maloney's current deal expires this offseason but he and the NHL, which owns the team, are nearly done with a new one. Maloney has been the Coyotes' general manager since 2007, helping guide the team to three playoff berths in the last four years without an owner. McLellan says there's no word on when exactly the two sides want to get this done by. Coach Dave Tippett also has a contract that expires this summer. May 23 |
| 3 | Zbynek Michalek ActiveZbynek Michalek (lower body) has been taken off the injured-reserve list and will play Wednesday night. The Phoenix defenseman last played on March 9, having cracked a bone in his foot blocking a shot. Michalek has two assists on the season. The Coyotes will dress seven defensemen. Apr 10 |
| 4 | Derek Morris SidelinedDerek Morris (lower body) will not return on Friday. It remains to be seen if Morris will play in the Coyotes' season finale on Saturday. He has 11 points and 36 penalty minutes in 39 contests in 2013. Apr 26 |
| 5 | Rostislav Klesla ActiveRostislav Klesla had four assists in Phoenix's 7-4 victory on Thursday. That's more points than Klesla had in his previous 24 games combined. This outburst aside, Klesla isn't worth owning in standard leagues. Mar 29 |
| 6 | David Schlemko ActiveCoach Dave Tippett is happy with the play of defenseman David Schlemko. Schlemko has played two games since returning after missing 16 games with a shoulder injury and has been playing tough, just what Tippett wants. He has three blocked shots in the two games with a couple of hits. "I liked that he wasn't tentative coming out of an injury, and he was a little better (Saturday) night," Tippett said. "We expect him to keep building to get his game back where it needs to be." While we can't recommend him in traditional pools, he is a valued member of the Coyotes blueline. Mar 18 |
| 7 | Chris Summers ActivePhoenix Coyotes recall Chris Summers from AHL Portland. This will be Summers' second stint with the Coyotes. He was demoted on Feb. 28 after racking up nine penalty minutes in five games. Mar 12 |
| G | 1 | Mike Smith ActiveMike Smith is understandably expecting a big payday as an unrestricted free agent this summer. "I've always been on one- or two-year deals," Smith said. "This is the time in my career I've solidified being a No. 1 goaltender, and I believe I should be compensated for it." Smith was amazing in 2011-12 and even though he took a step backwards this season, he still ended up with a respectable 2.58 GAA and .910 save percentage in 34 starts. The Coyotes have expressed an interest in re-signing him, but Smith suggested that the lack of ownership might get in the way. NHL Deputy Commissioner Bill Daly argued that GM Don Maloney doesn't have any "real limitations on the club’s ability to re-sign Mike Smith" beyond the obvious fact that he has to work within a budget, let any other GM does. Either way, Smith might hit the open market this summer. May 3 |
| 2 | Jason LaBarbera ActiveJason LaBarbera made 43 saves on 46 shots in an excellent win over the Ducks to cap off the season. LaBarbera had to work hard for his wins this year. Only one of his four wins came when he faced less than 38 shots. Apr 28 |
