Defenseman Duncan Keith notched three points -- including the game-winning goal in the third period -- to lift the Chicago Blackhawks to a 4-3 triumph over the visiting Nashville Predators Saturday night.
Keith had a goal and two assists as the Hawks eliminated the Preds 4-2 in the best-of-seven Western Conference First Round Series. Star center Jonathan Toews also contributed a goal and two assists to Chicago's triumph. The Hawks overcame deficits of 2-0 and 3-1 in the first period, bouncing back to tie the score 3-3 before the end of the period. The Hawks' big guns took care of the goals, with Patrick Sharp, Toews and Patrick Kane all scoring in the first period. Sharp and Toews both scored their third goals of the playoffs, while Kane netted his second. Kane's tying goal came with six seconds left in the first period. After no scoring in the second period, the stage was set for Keith, who took a pass from Toews and fired a slap shot into the Nashville net for the game winner with 3:48 left in the third period. Keith also posted a game-high six shots on net. In the series, he produced two goals and five assists. Apr 25 - 11:23 PM
