Mark Stone admitted it was challenging to play in the postseason after he was slashed by Montreal's P.K. Subban.
"It sucks. It definitely wasn't a fun thing to play with," said Stone. "Putting a needle in my wrist to freeze it wasn't overly (enjoyable). I had to freeze it pretty much before every game and sometimes after the second (period) in order to get it to last. It was just frustrating not being able to feel parts of my wrist and parts of my fingers. It definitely didn't help my shot, but I was able to play through it." He had four assists and just nine shots in six games versus the Canadiens during Ottawa's first-round playoff exit. The Calder Trophy finalist became a key player for the Senators down the stretch and he finished with 64 points in 80 games, which was only two points behind Erik Karlsson for the club lead.
