Laurent Brossoit thinks the fact that he played for four teams over two organizations last season was a good thing for him in the long run.
Brossoit played for the ECHL Alaska Aces and Bakersfield Condors as well as the AHL Abbotsford Heat and Oklahoma City Barons. He started the season as a member of Calgary's organization, but was dealt to the Edmonton Oilers. "Any time you find yourself facing so much adversity, playing for so many different teams and different leagues, going up and down, staying in hotels and having to battle through a lot, at the same time having some success, it helps you find what you need to do to find success under the different circumstances," Brossoit said. "That's one of the biggest things I learned last year. For me, I think that's what the biggest part was." Brossoit, 21, isn't expected to make the Oilers' opening game roster. Sep 12 - 10:16 AM
