Johnny Gaudreau was named a finalist for the Lady Byng Memorial Trophy on Sunday.
The trophy "is an annual award given to the player adjudged to have exhibited the best type of sportsmanship and gentlemanly conduct combined with a high standard of playing ability." It is voted on by the Professional Hockey Writers' Association. The last member of the Flames to win it was Jiri Hudler in 2014. Bob MacMillan was the first Flame to take home the honors in 1979, when the team was still in Atlanta. Hall of Famer and Flames' Cup champion Joe Mullen won the other two times for the franchise, in 1987 and 1989. Apr 23 - 7:29 PM
