Luke Shaw will miss Manchester United's final match of the season as he recovers from a concussion.

Luke Shaw's first season at United has been difficult to say the least. He has started only 15 matches in the Premier League this season and added one substitute appearance to that total. Louis Van Gaal has campaigned for the player to stay home from the U21 European Championships and it looks like he'll get his wish but at a certain point, Shaw is going to need some competitive action if he's going to reach the potential that United has already paid for. Clearly, LVG thinks the best path to game action is for Shaw to get into better shape over the summer and participate in a full training camp with United rather than risking further injury on England youth duty.

Wayne Rooney missed Week 37 against Arsenal but could return for Manchester United's trip to Hull City for the season finale.

With little to play for, it isn't clear why Louis Van Gaal would risk an aging player who was questionable for the entire week. That said, reports from the Manchester United camp are that Rooney is fit and available should Van Gaal choose to select him. United's attack hasn't been great minus Michael Carrick this season so picking Rooney includes multiple forms of risk starting with the fact that he might not play and extending to the fact that United's attack hasn't been good without Carrick even when they do have something to play for. If it were my team, I'd stay away.

Jay Rodriguez will travel with Southampton for the final match of the season but will not be in the match squad.

Rodriguez is still recovering from numerous set-backs of his ACL injury and will not feature for a single minute this season. His recovery from an ACL injury has been extremely problematic and has us worries more than usual about his long term recovery. Rodriguez will go into next season with lowered expectations so he can probably be had for cheaper in fantasy leagues. He is a high risk, high upside pick late in drafts.

David De Gea is a doubt for Manchester United's season finale at the KC Stadium as he continues to recover from the hamstring injury he suffered against Arsenal in Week 37.

The Manchester United number one has been the subject of a great deal of speculation as to where he will play his football next season. If he does leave then it is likely that he has played his final match for Manchester United as his hamstring issue will likely keep him out of United's season finale with Hull City. Victor Valdes, who gave up a goal in his brief outing against Arsenal, could be a very interesting bargain option in net for fantasy managers.

Jake Livermore, who remains suspended for a positive drug test, will be Steve Bruce's only enforced absentee for their season finale against Manchester United.

It is all on the line for Hull City as Manchester United come to the KC Stadium looking to guarantee their former player Steve Bruce and his charges are relegated. Hull City need to win against the fourth place team in the league and get help from West Ham who must win or draw at St. James' Park for Hull City to stay up. Bruce will likely name an unchanged side for the match which means Nikica Jelavic, Dame N'Doye, Ahmed Elmohamady and Robbie Brady are likely the most interesting fantasy prospects.

Jon Walters joins Peter Crouch and Peter Odemwingie who are all potential absentees for Stoke City's season finale against Liverpool.

Mark Hughes faces a trio of potential absentees on his front line with Jon Walters, Peter Crouch and Peter Odemwingie all facing questions about their availability for Sunday's match with Liverpool. Mame Biram Diouf is a lock to start but whether he is a lone striker or one of the walking wounded joins him is a big question. Fantasy managers should focus what energy they have for Stoke City's attack on Diouf, Marko Arnautovic and Charlie Adam who are among the stronger bets available.

Peter Crouch joins Peter Odemwingie and Jon Walters as potential absentees for Stoke City's final match of the season against Liverpool at the Britannia.

The former Liverpool man may miss out on the season finale against his former club with a vague injury mentioned by the BBC in their Week 38 match preview. With Crouch, Odemwingie, and Walters all in the same category of being listed with vague injury concerns just about anything could happen with the Potters' strikeforce. It probably makes sense to stay away unless you're in a desperate situation.

With Peter Crouch, Peter Odemwingie and Jon Walters all doubts for Week 38, Mame Biram Diouf might be lonely on top of the Stoke City attack.

While none of the three forwards - Crouch, Odemwingie or Walters - has been ruled out for sure, all of them are at risk of missing out on a season finale that means little to the Potters. Stoke City haven't provided a great deal of information about any of the injuries in question in their Friday press conferences so it may be nothing but fantasy managers should beware in bringing in any of the three Stoke City forwards.

Tony Pulis will be missing only Ben Foster as his team heads to the Emirates for the final match of the 2014-15 season.

Coming down the stretch, West Brom has shown well and part of the credit should go to the training staff who have helped the team stay largely healthy even as the season has worn on. Aside from the Ben Foster ACL injury, they have nursed Saido Berahino, Brown Ideye and others who have had niggling injuries through those issues while allowing them to feature more often than not. Even Victor Anichebe is healthy for the finale which is saying something.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is back in training with the first team but will not be ready for Arsenal's season-ending match against West Brom at the Emirates.

Consider this season a half step forward for Oxlade-Chamberlain. When he played, he showed improvement along the path that could see him secure a starting spot on the right of the Arsenal attack or somewhere in the center of the park in the future. The downside was that minor injuries continued to plague his development. With Aaron Ramsey, Theo Walcott, Jack Wilshere and Danny Welbeck all missing significant time over the second half of the season, the Ox could have played a lot more but his own injuries got in the way. He may get a chance to come on as a substitute in the FA Cup final but he won't make it back for Week 38.

After repeatedly indicating that Danny Welbeck would play before the end of the season, Arsene Wenger has reversed course and declared the England international out for Week 38 and the FA Cup final.

It has been a disappointing first season at the Emirates Stadium for Welbeck and Arsenal. After a move from Manchester United was supposed to lead to more playing time, especially at his preferred central forward spot, Welbeck hasn't played much more than he did for Manchester United last season. His opportunities have been curtailed by minor injuries, mediocre form, and the much better form of Olivier Giroud since February. It will be an interesting summer for Welbeck who could, once again, find himself as a spare part at a large club.

Roy Hodgson confirmed that Ashley Young will not be included in the end of season internationals against the Republic of Ireland and Slovenia as the Manchester United winger has a "slight medical issue" which will be addressed over the summer.

The specifics of the injury are currently unknown but Young is believed to have been playing with the problem for a while now and with fourth place already assured Louis van Gaal may take this opportunity to rest a number of players in the final game. Luke Shaw is another who looks set to miss out; the left-back is still suffering from the after-effects of a James McArthur arm to the face. England under-21 coach Gareth Southgate revealed the defender will not be selected for the upcoming Euro Championships due to concerns over his fitness. However Wayne Rooney [dead leg] does have a chance after missing the draw with Arsenal at Old Trafford in GW37.

Sebastian Larsson will be assessed ahead of the final game at Stamford Bridge but Dick Advocaat will take no risks after a hard fought draw against Arsenal on Wednesday was enough to secure their place in the top flight for another season.

Larsson picked up a knee injury with around 30 minutes to go at the Emirates but the midfielder was determined to see game through and remained on the pitch as the Black Cats executed a perfect backs to the wall performance to secure the point they needed. With 9-games remaining Sunderland took a gamble on the no-nonsense disciplinarian - Dick Advocaat – and The Little General delivered finishing the season unbeaten in five - W2 D3. Sunderland travel to champions Chelsea this weekend in what is effectively a dead-rubber; Liam Bridcutt [knee] will face a late test but Alvarez, Gomez and Wes Brown are all ruled out.

Jose Fonte has revealed that he is trying to persuade Morgan Schneiderlin and Nathaniel Clyne to stay at Southampton this summer.

Both Schneiderlin and Clyne are being pursued by big clubs and rumors has it that one or both will leave Southampton this summer. The Saints captain Jose Fonte is trying to change that as he's lobbying both players to stay in Southampton. The Saints have a good chance at a European competition next season if they can win points at Manchester City this weekend but things aren't entirely in their hands as they need Tottenham and Liverpool to drop points as well. Their qualification for the Europa Cup could be the determining factor on whether or not Clyne and Schneiderlin are sold.

Roy Hodgson has said Jack Grealish can have a future with England if he wants one.

Grealish has played for Republic of Ireland at the youth level but he rejected a senior-squad call up recently as he debats whether to play for Ireland or England. The youngster qualifies for Ireland through his family and for England via birth. Grealish has impressed everyone in the past few weeks as he's been given a chance by Tim Sherwood and seems to have a bright future ahead. He will be a high risk, high upside pick in fantasy next season.
