The England U21 squad was victorious over hosts France in the finals of the Toulan tournament with Chelsea teammates Lewis Baker and Ruben Loftus-Cheek providing the goals in the 2-1 win.

Chelsea's youth set-up has been an exciting group to watch for a couple of seasons now. With Nathan Ake already making their mark as starters on loan in the Premier League and Ruben Loftus-Cheek playing on the fringes of the Chelsea first team, there are high hopes for the current crop of Chelsea kids. With Blues at the core of the Toulan winners, supporters will be hoping that Antonio Conte is more focused on promoting youngsters than his predecessor. Other Premier League players - Calum Chambers, Jordan Pickford, Matt Targett, Duncan Watmore, Nathan Redmond and James Ward-Prowse also featured in the win.

Gary Cahill and Daniel Sturridge have returned to full training with the England national team after missing the past week.

Sturridge has yet to feature for the Three Lions in the team's pre-Euro friendlies over the past two weeks due to a calf injury while Cahill was held out of action against Australia due to a hip complaint. But Sturridge's place in the final squad could be in danger with Marcus Rashford impressing in his debut on Friday with a goal in the first three minutes. Meanwhile, Ryan Bertrand was held out of training as he receives treatment for a knock while Fabian Delph looks to miss out on the tournament due to injury.

Eden Hazard said he's very excited to play against his former boss Jose Mourinho.

Mourinho took over at Manchester United a few days ago and despite rumors that Hazard might be leaving Chelsea, the winger seems excited to stay at Chelsea. He is focused on the Euro Championships at the moment, but we will have more on his future as rumors develop. For now, he seems to be set to stay at Chelsea, and if he does, he will be a good fantasy target next season who should come a bit cheaper than usual after a poor season.

Ronaldo scored the decisive penalty in a shootout to see Real Madrid to their eleventh European title.

Sergio Ramos opened the scoring in the first half only to see it equalized by Atletico in the 79th minute. Extra time was scoreless and the match went to penalties. Both sides made their first three and Real made their fourth. Juanfran put his shot off the post giving Ronaldo the chance to seal it. The Portugal international buried his kick and Real and Zidane were off to celebrate.

Kurt Zouma is hoping to be fully fit for the start of the upcoming season after stepping up his recovery from a knee injury.

The Frenchman was devastated to miss the European championships in his home country this summer after suffering an ACL injury against Manchester United in February that required surgery. However, the six-month recovery period puts the 21-year-old on track to return in August, and Zouma has already started the running on flat ground phase of his rehabilitation. Last season, Zouma made 23 Premier League appearances, 21 of which were starts, forcing John Terry and Branislav Ivanovic out of the lineup at times.

Despite rumors linking him with Real Madrid, Chelsea keeper Thibaut Courtois said he expects to be at Chelsea next season.

The keeper is on on international duty with Belgium expected to shine at this summer's European championships in France, but he confirmed that he sees himself at Chelsea when he gets back with Antonio Conte set to take over from Guus Hiddink in July: "I am at Chelsea. We are going to have a new coach and I have three years left on my contract. If nothing major happens I will stay at Chelsea. I know that in football things happen fast, but in theory my next season is with Chelsea."

Roy Hodgson insists the fitness of Gary Cahill is not an issue despite the Chelsea defender struggling due to an ongoing hip problem.

The 30-year-old is one of only three centre-halves expected to be included in the 23-man Euro squad and in spite of John Stones’ lack of international experience, the Three Lions manager is not tempted to take anyone else alongside Chris Smalling. Cahill was a doubt for last weekends’ friendly with Turkey but had an injection prior the game. Even though he came through 90 minutes, Cahill was slightly hampered and a decision was taken on Monday for another jab which would help clear the problem. "I decided with physio Gary Lewin and the doctor that this was the best thing to do," Roy Hodgson said. "He’s played a lot of football and it was very unlikely one player would play in all three preparation games from the beginning."

Reports in the Guardian indicate that Jose Mourinho would like to recruit Willian to Manchester United and that the player is very much interested.

The issue here is that Chelsea would have to be interested in the move as Willian isn't close enough to the end of his contract to force a cut-rate move. The price is estimated to be in the £60m neighborhood. Manchester United have a ton of money but that's a pretty expensive neighborhood given that there will still be a lot of other work to do in defense, holding midfield and at forward. Perhaps Chelsea sees it as a way to fund Antonio Conte's preferred players without running afoul of FFP but it's hard to see the Blues giving up their best player from last season for a manager with whom they've had a falling out.

On the heels of terminating their deal with adidas, Chelsea have announced that they will be moving to Nike in a deal worth £60m-a-year to the West London club.

The magnitude of the deal combined with the bump in the Premier League's TV revenues means that Chelsea will be awash in cash this summer without having to dip into Roman Abramovich's deep pockets. The Blues had to pay adidas £40m to get out of their current deal but with Nike doubling what adidas was paying, Chelsea will break even on that pay-off in a little over a year and net an additional £30m-a-year from that point forward. Excellent business when combined with recent deals done with Yokohama and Carabao which will bring in an additional £50m-a-year. Not bad to have £110m-a-year coming in the door before the first ball is ticket is taken or the first dollar of TV revenue is realized. Chelsea are expected to use the funds to pursue a premium priced forward like Gonzalo Higuin to supplement Diego Costa.

Chelsea FC have announced that John Terry has signed a one year contract that will keep the captain at the club through the transition to new manager Antonio Conte.

The much-discussed contract apparently comes at a cost to Terry. The captain is rumored to have accepted a new order of things at the club he has been at for 18 years. He will reportedly accept a pay cut and has acknowledged that he will, in all likelihood, not be a first choice starter. In return, he presumably gets the sort of graceful exit that was not afforded (or maybe interesting) to Frank Lampard. Look for Chelsea to recruit at least one new center back in his prime to replace Terry as the heart and soul of what the new manager will surely want to be a rock solid defense.

Cesc Fabregas slotted home from the penalty spot to give Chelsea a point against Champions Leicester City.

Chelsea - Leicester City was a totally irrelevant match as both teams had nothing to play for. Leicester had already won the title and Chelsea were stuck in mid-table. The match lacked excitement due to that and there wasn't much to talk about after, except for Leicester's magical season that comes to an end today.

Branislav Ivanovic could miss the final game of the season as he struggles to shake off the groin problem he suffered at the Stadium of Light last weekend.

Guus Hiddink was forced into a defensive reshuffle at Anfield on Wednesday following the loss of Ivanovic to injury and John Terry to suspension. Once again, the Dutchman opted to play John Obi Mikel in the back four with Baba Rahman starting at left-back - Azpilicueta was moved across onto the right. Matt Miazga failed to make the match day squad and Chelsea could start with the same defensive unit, although Thibaut Courtois (illness) will return in place of Asmir Begovic if the goalkeeper is passed fit. A hamstring injury will keep Diego Costa on the side-lines with Bertrand Traore favourite to start. Loic Remy is injured and Alexandre Pato / Radamel Falcao are way down the pecking order. Willian will be assessed after tweaking his hamstring against Liverpool.

Eden Hazard continued his resurgence with a brilliant goal to put Chelsea ahead but Liverpool would find a late equalizer as the two sides played to a 1-1 draw.

Where he will play next season remains a mystery, but Hazard is officially back to his old self again, scoring his fourth goal in his last four matches. After the two sides traded blows in the opening half hour with Liverpool looking the likelier to score, Hazard turned up with a fantastic individual effort in the 32nd minute. Dribbling around the outside of the box, he created the space to put the ball on his right foot while entering the area and delivered a strike into the far corner with precision accuracy. Baba Rahman was credited with an assist. Asmir Begovic did well during the match to keep out some efforts sent forth by the Reds but made a mistake in the final minute that cost the Blues two points, failing to palm away a cross effectively, allowing Liverpool to score an easy equalizer. Chelsea will wrap up their season next weekend hosting Leicester as last year's title-winners will take on this year's.

Diego Costa will miss Chelsea’s two remaining Premier League matches after suffering a hamstring injury at Sunderland last weekend.

Guus Hiddink confirmed youngsters Kasey Palmer and Tammy Abraham will be included in the squad travelling to Liverpool after Costa and Branislav Ivanovic were ruled out yesterday. "Ivanovic is out with a groin problem, Costa with a hamstring problem is out. I think he will be out for the weekend too." Alexandre Pato could lead the Chelsea attack with Loic Remy side-lined and Radamel Falcao further down the pecking order. Meanwhile, Matt Miazga is an option in defence although the Dutchman could opt for John Obi Mikel as he did at Bournemouth in game week thirty-five. Baba Rahman should start at left-back with Azpilicueta switching flanks. Pedro will return to the squad and is expected to play in a protective mask after breaking his nose in "a little accident" at home.

Pedro will be assessed ahead of the trip to Anfield after failing to recover in time for last weekends’ game at Sunderland.

Eden Hazard found himself named in the starting XI at the Stadium of Light on Saturday after Pedro was ruled out through injury. The Spanish winger was still feeling the effects of being taken out by Kyle Walker during a fierce London derby at Stamford Bridge five days earlier. Guus Hiddink will consider his options against Liverpool, but the Dutchman will be forced into at least one change after John Terry received his marching orders in could be his final act as a Chelsea player. Baba Rahman might come into the side with Ivanovic moving centrally and Azpilicueta switching flanks. Alternatively, Matt Miazga is an option in a straight swop to partner Gary Cahill in the heart of defence.
