Eden Hazard has stated he would back a Petr Cech exit this summer after the goalkeeper made comments regarding a summer move.

Cech mentioned in recent days that he would consider leaving Stamford Bridge this summer because he doesn't want to spend another season as an understudy to Thibaut Courtois. The news is unsurprising, as the 32-year-old only has a few years of football left and he understandably wants to start, especially given the fact he is still one of the best goalkeepers around. Cech has been linked with Liverpool and Arsenal amongst other teams, but it's uncertain if Cech wants to remain in the Premier League or leave for another league. He is not a fantasy option at the moment and there is a chance he never will be in the Premier League again.

John Terry has inked a new one-year extension with Chelsea.

The Blues defender has had a phenomenal season and has looked terrific next to both Gary Cahill and Kurt Zouma. He is not as fast or as athletic as he was in his prime, but Terry is smarter than ever and uses his experience to his advantage to make up for lost speed. He hasn't slowed down one bit and there are no signs of him dropping off next-season. He is a great fantasy option in draft-leagues as he provides great weekly clean sheet chances and scores the eventual goal to provide upside.

Diego Costa will undergo further tests today as Jose Mourinho confirmed the Spanish international striker suffered a hamstring problem during yesterdays’ win at the KC Stadium.

Chelsea started the game against Hull in emphatic style opening up a quick two goal lead but what looked like the beginning of a champions-elect rout was turned on its head as Steve Bruce’s men fought back with two quick-fire strikes of their own. Ahmed Elmohamady provided a smart finish for the first before an uncharacteristic Courtois error gifted Hernandez an equaliser and the match remained tied at [2-2] going into its final phase. However as Mourinho was making efforts for one final Chelsea push Diego Costa pulled up short following a recurrence of his hamstring injury and instead of Loic Remy partnering the Blues’ top-scorer the Frenchman was introduced as his replacement [although in the end the outcome was the same]. Remy grabbed a goal within two minutes and Chelsea took another step closer to the title.

Thibaut Courtois was indebted to Loic Remy after his late winner extended Chelsea's Premier League lead over Manchester City to six points.

It was extraordinary game at the KC Stadium as Chelsea blew a 2-0 lead against a spirited Hull City only to take the three point thanks to substitute Loic Remy. The away side took the lead inside two minutes as Eden Hazard went on a trademark weaving run before hitting a fine strike from 20 yards out. It was two by the ninth minute as Diego Costa scored another superb individual goal, but Hull fought back with two goals of their own in the space of 74 seconds as Ahmed Elmohamady slid the ball home and before Abel Hernandez took advantage of an error by Courtois to level things up. The score remained the same until Remy replaced the injured Costa and the substitute scored within a minute of coming on to seal a 3-2 victory which keeps the Blues six points clear of Manchester City with a game in hand. Hull remain 16th, but they can be proud of their performance; keep this level of effort and they will stay out of trouble.

Chelsea have released a statement on their club website where they attack referees for not giving them penalties this season.

The Blues have only had two penalties this season, against Arsenal and QPR. There have been several matches where Jose Mourinho has fumed for uncalled fouls, and this seems to be yet another movement from the Blues in an attempt to influence the refs. If their tactics work, Eden Hazard's fantasy value might increase as he is the side's penalty taker this season.

Nemanja Matic is back from a two-match ban and will likely face Southampton this weekend.

Matic has been one of Chelsea's most important pieces this year and he's almost certainly going to be in the starting XI on Sunday. Chelsea are a better team with him and having just been eliminated from the Champions League, the Blues will look to take out their anger on Southampton. Matic doesn't get involved in the attack enough to warrant ownership in the Yahoo! game but he can be a decent option in leagues that give points for defensive stats. John Obi Mikel continues to be out.

Eden Hazard scored early on to give Chelsea a 1-0 win over West Ham United.

In what was a very tough matchup, Chelsea were able to win a valuable three points today by seeing off West Ham United. The Blues started Kurt Zouma in midfielder once again but were able to survive without Nemanja Matic by not conceding a goal. It was a match that featured a number of high quality saves from both goalkeepers, with Hazard's chance clearly the moment of the match. The Blues have a five point lead on top of the table and have an extra match left to play over second place Manchester City.

Chelsea won the Capital One Cup today with a 2-0 win over Tottenham.

Chelsea started the match with a surprising lineup, placing Kurt Zouma in defensive midfield to replace the suspended Nemanja Matic. The move placed them in a slight disadvantage as they seemed to struggle early on, but Tottenham couldn't capitalize despite hitting the crossbar. The Blues gained the advantage late in the first half after John Terry finished a deflected ball in the box. A Kyle Walker own goal doubled the advantage in the second half and Chelsea cruised to their first title of the year. Chelsea players are great investments at the moment as they'll have a double gameweek in the near future.

Chelsea loanee Mohamed Salah scored a goal in Fiorentina's 2-0 win on Thursday that sent Spurs out of the Europa Cup with a 3-1 aggregate win over the North London club.

Spurs, already down an away goal, didn't generate many opportunities as they crashed out of the Europa Cup on Thursday in Italy. Mario Gomez's goal eventually proved to be more than enough for the win but Jan Vertonghen was stripped by Salah in the 71st minute and the Chelsea man scored to put the tie away. Roberto Soldado could have had a first half chance to put Spurs ahead but, befitting a man whose confidence is low, he chose to pass rather than have a shot on goal.

The FA has reduced Nemanja Matic's ban to just two matches, one less than the original three match-ban.

Chelsea are still furious with the decision as Ashley Barnes goes unpunished for his horrible challenge that caused Matic to retaliate and be sent off. This certainly helps Chelsea, as they now only have to play one Premier League game without Matic(his first match out is the Capital One Cup final). Expect Matic to come back in week 28 and use him as you normally would.

Chelsea will appeal to have Nemanja Matic's three-match ban revoked.

There is some controversy about Ashley Barnes not being punished for his challenge on Nemanja Matic and Chelsea have decided to appeal Matic's red-card. A situation similar to this one allowed West Ham goalkeeper Adrian to have a suspension overruled due to Mane committing a foul on him right before the red-card challenge. This could be a huge boost for the Blues if they can get the suspension removed since Matic has been one of their most important players this season. With Premier League matches against Southampton and West Ham coming up, this suspension alone can be a deciding factor in the title race.

Thorgan Hazard has elected to take his talents to Germany and join Borussia Monchengladbach permanently on a 5-year deal.

Hazard has been with the German team on loan this season but the sides have agreed to a permanent deal. This is yet another great move by Chelsea. The Blues acquired the talented midfielder for only €500k and have now sold him for a fee of €8m. The deal seems largely intended to help Chelsea deal with Financial Fair Play regulations as they've included a buy-back clause to make sure they can acquire Hazard back in the future if they need him. The 21-year old has been solid for Borussia Monchengladbach this season and could one day be a fantasy option if he returns to the Premier League.

Thibaut Courtois seems to be Chelsea's starting goalkeeper despite Petr Cech getting a few games in recent weeks.

Petr Cech has been fantastic when relieving Courtois earlier this month but it seems Jose Mourinho was just being safe with Courtois after his injury concern. Courtois has now started the last two Chelsea matches, including the all-important Champions League tie against Paris Saint-Germain. We would feel safe using Courtois in fantasy for now, but keep an eye out on the situation just in case something changes.

Branislav Ivanovic scored again in Chelsea's Premier League match against Burnley yesterday despite carrying a minor knock.

Ivanovic was a slight risk for the match but Mourinho decided the Serbian defender was too important to miss and played him regardless. It turned out to be the right decision as Ivanovic proved his worth once again with yet another goal. The defender plays like a midfielder most of the time and his offensive production is a great compliment to his ability to earn a clean sheet bonus. He is one of the best fantasy defenders in the game this year and should be owned in all formats.

Nemanja Matic will serve a three-match ban after getting sent off in Chelsea's 1-1 draw against Burnley.

Matic was brought down hard by Ashley Barnes and in turn got up and pushed the Burnley forward to the ground. The reaction was uncalled for despite the referee's miss of the challenge and Matic was deservedly sent off. The Chelsea anchor-man will now miss Sunday's Capital One Cup final against Tottenham and then two extremely important games versus Southampton and West Ham in gameweeks 27 and 28. John Obi Mikel will likely start in his place if he can recover from injury, and if not, Ramires will likely get the start.
