Didier Drogba will most likely play for MLS team Montreal Impact starting in the very near future.

The Chicago Fire have Didier Drogba's rights but they have reportedly reached a deal with Montreal Impact that allows them to sign Drogba. The Ivory Coast striker will reportedly sign an 18-month deal that pays him more than $3m per year. Drogba is a great fit for Montreal and should help them secure a playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.

Thibaut Courtois scored the game-winning penalty kick in Chelsea's 6-5 win over Paris Saint-Germain.

Courtois took the 7th penalty in the shootout and it ended up being one of the best penalties of the day. He is set to be Chelsea's number one goalkeeper this year and with Petr Cech gone, the Belgian shouldn't have any competition for the starting job. Chelsea are almost a lock to have a top three defense once again and Courtois should be the top goalkeeper taken in most fantasy drafts.

Victor Moses scored in Chelsea's match against Paris Saint-Germain that ended 1-1 in regulation.

The match ended 6-5 in favor of Chelsea after a penalty shootout but it was Moses that was the most impressive player today. The winger continued to impress for Chelsea and has a real shot at the starting right-wing position once the season starts. Juan Cuadrado was once again mediocre and missed a penalty in the shootout, and Willian has been solid but not exceptional this pre-season. Moses has created numerous chances for his teammates and showed off his finishing touch today, giving Jose Mourinho a real dilemma to start the season. Keep an eye out, as Moses can be a great fantasy choice if he ends up with the starting job.

John Obi Mikel has expressed his desire to remain at Chelsea despite some rumors that claim he may be leaving.

There have been rumors about Mikel leaving all summer long but the midfielder stated earlier today that he "wants to stay and the managers wants [him] to stay". Mikel has two years left on his contract and is excited about finishing it off in London. There is still a possibility that Chelsea will decide to sell the player but regardless of where he ends up, he will not be a fantasy option next season. Mikel is a defensive specialist who doesn't score or assist on many goals, especially when coming off the bench.

Chelsea have signed Serbian teenager Danilo Pantic and immediately sent him out on loan to Vitesse Arnhem.

Pantic has played for Partizan Belgrade so far and promises to be a high-upside pick up for the Blues. As with most youngsters they sign, Chelsea are sending him out on loan to another top league. Pantic will get heavy playing time at Vitesse and get a chance to improve his skills with experience. Lewis Baker and Izzy Brown will also be spending the year on loan in the Eredivisie.

Jose Mourinho praised Victor Moses after Chelsea's 4-2 loss to New York Red Bulls last night.

Victor Moses has been with Chelsea this pre-season after spending last year on loan at Stoke City. Mourinho praised his strength and aggression and promised to give him another 45 minutes in the next friendly. Moses isn't likely to be a starter at Chelsea but he could be a big part of the rotation in the upcoming season. The lack of consistent playing time will certainly decrease his fantasy value and unless Moses leaves on loan, he shouldn't be drafted in any fantasy leagues.

Bertrand Traore and Ruben Loftus-Cheek are unlikely to go out on loan this season.

Jose Mourinho had comments on the two youngsters after Chelsea's friendly match in the US last night and noted how talented the two are. He also emphasized that neither is ready for first-team football on a regular basis and both will have to improve significantly. In this case, the Blues' boss is not interested in sending them out on loan and prefers to develop them in-house. That leaves both players with zero fantasy value this season.

New York Red Bulls pulled off a 4-2 win against defending Premier League champions Chelsea, with all four goals coming in the second half.

A rude welcome for the visiting Blues, who got the scoring started when Loic Remy latched on to a pass from Oscar inside the area and had plenty of time to slot home. Something happened at the half though and the Red Bulls, fielding a side made up mainly of academy players, came out firing with three unanswered goals between the 51st and 73rd minute. Chelsea did not sub in fringe players either: Eden Hazard, John Terry, Nemanja Matic and Diego Costa all came on for the second frame. Hazard would score to cut the Red Bull advantage to one, but the hosts would grab a fourth goal late to seal the points.

Chelsea have agreed to sell Felipe Luis back to Atletico Madrid according to Sky Sources.

Jose Mourinho said earlier that Luis can be sold if Atletico are willing to pay and it seems the right price was around £15.0m. That's £800,000 less than what Chelsea paid for him last summer, which is not a huge price to pay for a year of his services. Luis never broke through the rotation and spent most of the season sitting behind Cesar Azpilicueta. He made several starts and had a number of appearances off the bench but was never the first option at Chelsea and the club has decided there are better ways to spend the £15.0m they are getting for him. Mourinho has said he will look at the transfer market for another backup player at the position.

Tomas Kalas has extended his time at Middlesbrough with the two clubs agreeing on a season-long loan that will see the highly rated defender try to help Boro win promotion.

The Teesside club were tantalizingly close to promotion only to lose out in the playoffs. Part of their renewed efforts to gain promotion include adding Tomas Kalas to their squad for a full season. Kalas arrived on loan from Stamford Bridge last season in January and started 16 matches for Boro and appeared once for the club as a substitute. He appeared for the Czech U21 twice over the summer and returns to England where he will hope to be a regular starter for Boro all season.

Palace could be back in the race for Chelsea front-man Loic Remy as Chelsea agree to let him go…

Reports in Turkey have stated that Chelsea agreed a deal to let striker Loic Remy go to Besiktas, but the player is yet to agree to the switch. This will alert Palace who can not only offer Remy the chance to stay in London, but the chance to link-up with former Newcastle boss Alan Pardew and captain Yohan Cabaye. A top class striker has always been the top priority for Palace as they look to kick-on from their consecutive 11th and 10th place PL finishes. Remy would fit the bill and looks to have relegated to third choice again at Chelsea, following their capture of Ramadel Falcao. Regular first-team football will also be vital if Remy is to feature for France in the Euros at the end of the season. Something you suspect Pardew might mention should it reach the negotiation stage…

Mohamed Salah's situation remains unclear as Inter Milan are showing interest while Fiorentina are claiming they have his rights.

Salah spend the second half of last season on loan at Fiorentina, where he impressed on a regular basis. Fiorentina now claim that they've triggered a clause that gives them the rights to Salah for the upcoming year, but Salah's camp is unwilling to play ball and are interested in getting the winger to Inter Milan. Fiorentina are threatening to take legal action, but the situation is far from over and Salah realistically has a chance of playing for Inter, Fiorentina, or Chelsea on match day 1.

Chelsea midfielder Josh McEachran has joined Brentford on a four-year deal.

McEachran hasn't made an appearance for Chelsea since the 2011-12 season and after a series of loans, the club has decided to part ways. McEachran joins Brentford on a four-year deal but it's hard to project how much playing time he will get after seeing him move around so much in the past four years. McWachran definitely comes with upside, as he is only 22 years old and has shown flashes before, so the move is a low-risk, high-upside situation for Brentford.

Andreas Christensen will join Borussia Monchengladbach on a season-long loan.

The defender progressed into Chelsea's first team last season and has made big strides as a player. As with every other prospect, Chelsea are sending him out on loan so he can earn valuable playing time and experience. Christensen will likely be a starter at Borussia Monchengladbach and can even earn experience in the Champions League. This is a great move for all sides involved.

Asmir Begovic is set to join Chelsea in the coming days.

Stoke were waiting to sign Shay Given from Aston Villa before letting Begovic go but that deal is now complete and Mark Hughes has said he fully expects Asmir Begovic to join the Blues. The deal is as close as it can be to getting done and we will likely have official confirmation by Monday. Begovic will not be a fantasy option this year as he will be behind Thibaut Courtois on the pecking order and isn't likely to feature unless Courtois suffers an injury.
