Justin Anderson - DL - Minutemen

Maryland graduate senior DL Justin Anderson will complete his final season of eligibility at UMass.

Anderson left the program this spring after citing personal reasons, but since he completed his degree, the defensive lineman will be eligible to play for the Minutemen immediately. "Justin brings BCS size and strength to our defensive line and will be an impact player," Molnar said in the release. "He is a multi-positional player who can play on the interior of the line or outside at defensive end."

Ricardo Miller - TE - Minutemen

UMass has added Michigan senior graduate TE/WR Ricardo Miller.

Paul Myerberg of USA Today expects Miller to play a combination role of big wide receiver and pure receiving tight end. He graduated from Michigan this spring, so Miller will be eligible to play immediately for the Minutemen.

Michael Cox - RB - Minutemen

Giants selected UMass RB Michael Cox with the No. 253 overall pick.

Cox (5-foot-11 7/8, 220) wasn't invited to the Combine but turned some heads with a solid Pro Day, running forty times of 4.63 and 4.58 with a 38-inch vertical and 10-foot-7 broad jump. The Giants now have some offseason power back insurance behind Andre Brown, even if Cox will struggle to make the final 53.

Deion Walker - WR - Minutemen

Coach Charley Molnar expects former Notre Dame receiver Deion Walker to have an impact with the Minutemen.

Walker, a graduate student with one season of eligibility remaining, played only five games in three years with the Irish. Molnar and Walker overlapped at Notre Dame where the former spent two seasons as offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach. UMass will be a first-year FBS member in 2012.
