Date:

Louisiana-Lafayette HC Mark Hudspeth said that junior WR Keenan Barnes (knee) should be good to play against Appalachian State on Saturday.

Barnes has missed the past two games due to the knee injury. The 6-foot-3, 208-pounder has a 36-507-2 receiving line this fall.
Dec 1 - 1:26 PM

Louisiana-Lafayette redshirt sophomore WR Michael Jacquet suffered a setback at practice on Wednesday and is questionable to play against Florida State on Saturday.

Jacquet's was able to play last week against Georgia Southern with the injured ankle, but apparently aggravated the injury on practice on Wednesday. If he's unable to go, it means more targets for Keenan Barnes, Ja'Marcus Bradley and Rhyheem Malone.
Nov 30 - 8:32 PM

Louisiana-Lafayette HC Mark Hudspeth said that junior WR Keenan Barnes (knee) was not at full strength in Tuesday's practice.

Barnes has sat out each of the past two games due to the knee injury. The 6-foot-3, 208-pound junior's status for Saturday's upcoming contest against Appalachian State remains clouded. Barnes is currently the owner of a 36-507-2 receiving line for the season.
Nov 28 - 9:49 PM

Louisiana-Lafayette junior WR Ryheem Malone hauled in six passes for 106 yards and a touchdown in a 34-24 loss to Georgia Southern on Saturday.

Malone has now scored and gone over the century mark in back-to-back games. His touchdown was a 17-yard strike from Jordan Davis that brought the Ragin' Cajuns to within 10 at 27-17. Louisiana-Lafayette gets one more crack at the magical six-win total next week when they take on Appalachian State.
Nov 25 - 8:18 PM

Louisian Lafayette junior WR Keenan Barnes (knee) is slated to start on Saturday against Georgia Southern.

Barnes (6'3/208) missed Saturday's game against New Mexico State with the knee injury. He's the leader in catches and receiving yards for the Ragin' Cajuns, so his return should be a big boost to the passing game. ULL will also have starting receiver Michael Jacquet (ankle) available against the Eagles.
Nov 25 - 5:09 PM

Louisiana Lafayette sophomore RB Jordan Wright broke his forearm on Saturday against New Mexico State.

Wright will undergo surgery later this week and will likely miss the remainder of the season. He finishes the year with 23 carries for 96 yards and five catches for 54 yards for the Ragin' Cajuns.
Nov 20 - 9:04 PM

Louisiana-Lafayette junior WR Keenan Barnes (knee) is questionable for Saturday's game against Georgia Southern.

Barnes (6'3/208) was not able to go against New Mexico State last week after injuring his knee against Ole Miss the week prior. We'll see if Barnes is able to get in some practices before their game against Georgia Southern, and his status should be updated closer to game time. Rhyheem Malone would be the go-to wideout for the Ragin Cajuns if Barnes can't play.
Nov 20 - 6:51 PM

Louisiana-Lafayette junior WR Ryheem Malone hauled in seven passes for 113 yards with a touchdown in a 47-34 victory over New Mexico State on Saturday.

Malone's touchdown was his first since the second game of the year against Tulsa. The touchdown was a big one; a 33-yarder from quarterback Jordan Davis that broke a 34-34 tie and gave the Ragin' Cajuns the lead for good. ULL will look to qualify for a bowl next week against Georgia Southern.
Nov 19 - 12:53 PM

Louisiana-Lafayette junior QB Jordan Davis completed 18-of-31 passes for 203 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions in Saturday's game against New Mexico State.

Davis also chipped in with seven runs, 71 yards and a touchdown. Earlier in the week head coach Mark Hudspeth said Davis and freshman QB Levi Lewis would each play against the Aggies, but apparently he had a change of heart as Lewis never saw the field. It might have something to do with the fact the Ragin' Cajuns need a win for bowl eligibility. Davis should have a strong game against the one-win Georgia Southern Eagles next Saturday.
Nov 19 - 12:36 AM

Louisiana-Lafayette redshirt freshman RB Trey Ragas carried 23 times for 132 yards and two touchdowns in Saturday's 47-34 win against New Mexico State.

Ragas was back from a one-game suspension, and he returned with a chip on his shoulder. The 132 yards were a career high, and he returned to the end zone for the first time since Oct. 12 against Texas State. He'll likely have another big game against Georgia Southern at home next Saturday.
Nov 19 - 12:32 AM

Louisiana Lafayette junior WR Keenan Barnes (knee) will not play on Saturday against New Mexico State.

Barnes (6'3/208) hurt the knee last week in the loss to Ole Miss. Barnes is the leading wideout for the Ragin' Cajuns, catching 36 passes for 507 yards and two scores. Rhyheem Malone should be the leader in targets for ULL on Saturday against the Aggies.
Nov 18 - 4:54 PM

Louisiana-Lafayette redshirt freshman RB Trey Ragas will return from suspension and play Saturday against New Mexico State.

Ragas sat out Saturday's loss to Ole Miss with the undisclosed suspension. The Ragin' Cajuns tailback has rushed for 626 yards so far, and he's found the end zone seven times as well.
Nov 17 - 8:26 PM

Louisiana-Lafayette HC Mark Hudspeth says junior QB Jordan Davis and freshman QB Levi Lewis will both play versus New Mexico State on Saturday.

The Ragin' Cajuns prefer to start Lewis at this juncture, but the freshman dual-threat has been hampered all week by an ankle injury. Hudspeth said Lewis may not start. It'll likely be a game-time call as to who begins the game behind center.
Nov 17 - 4:21 PM

UL-Lafayette HC Mark Hudspeth said he's not sure if freshman QB Levi Lewis (ankle) will start Saturday against New Mexico State, but he said Lewis will play.

On Hudspeth's coaches' show, he said both Lewis and Jordan Davis will play in the game. Lewis suffered an ankle injury in last Saturday's game against Ole Miss. He was limited in practice this week.
Nov 17 - 12:31 PM

Louisiana-Lafayette senior S Tracy Walker has regressed from a potential Day 2 pick to a "late round guy" this season, per Draft Analyst's Tony Pauline.

"There’s nothing outstanding about his game," Pauline wrote. The analyst does believe Walker is adept at both defending the run (59 tackles through games) and the pass (two interceptions), but does not believe the sum of his parts is worth a Day 2 investment.
