	3	James McDonald D.L. James McDonald (shoulder) will begin a rehab assignment with Double-A Altoona on May 27. That's assuming he gets through bullpen sessions on Tuesday and Friday with no issues. McDonald is slated to go four innings and/or throw 65 pitches for Altoona, so he'll need at least one additional rehab start before being activated. He's not a given to rejoin the rotation once healthy. May 19
	4	Francisco Liriano
	5	Charlie Morton D.L. Pirates manager Clint Hurdle said Thursday that Charlie Morton (elbow, shoulder) will make three more minor league rehab starts. Morton's rehab from Tommy John surgery was recently halted due to some shoulder soreness, but he returned to game action Thursday with Double-A Altoona and gave up two runs in four innings. If all goes well, he could join the Pirates' rotation in the early part of June. May 16
	6	Jeff Karstens D.L. Jeff Karstens (shoulder) will make his next rehab start Saturday with Double-A Altoona. Karstens, currently working his way back from shoulder inflammation, gave up one run in three innings Monday in his first rehab outing with High-A Bradenton. He could join the Pirates by early June, though it isn't clear what his role will be. May 16
