Finished first in the championship standings last season with a pair of wins at Caraway and one at South Boston. He had 12 top fives and was the only driver to finish in the top 10 in all 14 races. Has a win (2011), a pole (2013), an average finish of fifth and 147 laps led in the seven previous NWSMT Langley Speedway races. Joins Jason Myers as the only other driver to start all seven previous events at Langley.

He started sixth on the grid and completed all laps of the 51-lap event. Steckly continues as the points leader in the 2015 Canadian Tire Series championship standings after this event. He leads second-place Jason Hathaway, who won the race, by nine points.
